Robert Eugene Mock, Jr. was born on January 27, 1948, in Leavenworth, Kansas and passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on November 1, 2024, in Holton, Kansas. Robert's life was a testament to resilience, camaraderie, and dedication to family.

Bob's early years were spent in the Leavenworth Kansas area, where he learned commercial fishing from his step-father Freddie Spain and many uncles before making the bold decision to serve his country in Vietnam. His bravery and dedication during this time earned him the respect and admiration of many. After his military service, Bob transitioned back to civilian life and started his family with wife Susan.

Despite not completing his formal education, Bob’s grit and determination were evident to all who knew him. He had an uncanny ability to find value in what others might consider junk. Bob's knack for trading led him to many adventures and unforgettable experiences. To be in Bob's company was to be assured of a good time, a thoughtful conversation, and a genuine connection.

Bob was a proud Vietnam Veteran, having served his country as an Airborne Ranger with courage and distinction. His experiences in the military left an indelible mark on him and shaped the man he would become. After his service, he returned to his community where he was known to lend a helping hand, embodying the values of camaraderie and brotherhood he carried over from his time in the armed forces.

He is survived by his loving wife Susan Mock, his devoted sister Fredericka Mullins (Everett), his cherished daughter Lee Jewell (Chuck), his proud son Fred Mock (Kiri), and many grandkids including Bobby, Kenny, Mindy and Donnie Martin, Austin Mock (Rachel), AJ Mock (Gracie), Makayla Shumaker (Ross), Devin Mock, Kayden Mock, Bo Jewell (Stephanie) and Eric Jewell. Some of the souls Bob has been reunited with include his sons Keith Mock and Eugene "Bobaloo" Mock, his brother James Spain and mother Beulah Drews.

Bob's life will be honored in a private ceremony, where family and friends will gather to share stories, reminisce, and pay tribute to a man who was not only a beloved husband, father, and brother but also a true friend to many. Let us hold fast to the memories that comfort us and the love that Bob shared with us all. His spirit will forever remain a guiding force in our lives.

Rest in peace, Bob. You will be forever missed by those you've left behind until we meet again.

Allison was in a very bad car accident where she had to be life flighted to KU. We are trying to support the family because she has a long road to recovery in front of her, and people will be traveling back and forth to see her quite often. Any help is appreciated to help take some of the burden off...
