MerMay Day 29: Rock

MerMay is almost over, so sad! 😢

I was a bit stumped with this one at first, for ‘rock’ then I realized that technically living in Hawaii we are living on one big hunk of molten lava rock from the ancient volcanic moving plate that formed these magical islands. 🌋

So, technically all Hawaiian photos are accurate & these photos certainly are, as I am on rocks here. 🪨

I am wearing my lovely fiery red tail with the Fantasea Fin 3, which is my favorite fin for cruising through the wild ocean here on the islands. 🏝️

🎻 Mer May Day 28: Human form 🎶

I was first hesitant to post me in my human form, as I love the whimsical, fantasy nature of the mermaid images and believe me, I firmly believe I am a mermaid pretending to be a human in this lifetime! Seriously! 🤣

Then I remembered about this fun photo shoot I did on Kaua’i last year with my fiddle/violin. This shoot definitely shares the love of whimsy, don’t you think? 🔱

My human form is also very much present with the lives of my animals. When I’m not teaching 🧜‍♀️ lessons with my biz .mermaid.experience I teach equine facilitated learning through my biz - my horses are a huge part of my life! 🐴

Side note: this gorgeous song playing on this post is by a talented violinist who lives on island and whom I’m fortunate to study with. Follow her for her creative violin content! 🎻

It was such an incredible experience being at the WaterBear underwater photography workshop in Florida recently! 📸

I learned so much from the wonderful with her extensive underwater photography experience. It was great to meet her after all these years of admiring her work. She is truly a beautiful person, inside and out! ♥️

As I’m rather new to being behind the camera, it takes some courage to post this photo, but I do want to showcase the beauty of these phenomenal models (and human beings) .wild.ethereal & 🧜‍♀️

I also loved everyone in the workshop & was deeply inspired by my colleagues who attended it.

It’s a very cool thing to be on the other side of the camera & learning to capture the magic of the experience after so many years of being a 🧜‍♀️ & doing underwater modeling myself. It’s been such a healing path for me, I am drawn to share this powerful transformational experience with others! I thought I would stray away from the mermaid theme to show case these gorgeous photos from my shoot with the fabulous crew sharing the variations from blank to white to color, as I think it’s quite artistic stunning. 📸

I’m wearing my gorgeous dress, which is so completely magical and sets the mood perfectly in this magical underwater set. 💃
