✋🏽TIPS FOR SELF-CARE SUNDAY
💦WATER IS LIFE - shower with cold water, rinse your hands, face, & neck with cold water when visiting the bathroom. It activates the nerves, staves off anxiety, depression, increases focus.
🙆🏽♀️MOVE - stretch when you wake. From the toes, to every joint; twist, turn, breathe in, breathe out. Waking up is a process, when stagnant at a desk you must wake up your body, before a physical endeavor wake up your body. Walk, jog, climb, swim. Whatever form of movement your spirit guides you to.
🥗NOURISH YOUR BODY - eat not for indulgence, but nourishment; your body will reward you with energy, your senses will become vibrant & enticed by nourishing it’s true needs. Eat with awareness. Bite into an orange, feel the juice on your lips, the citrus on your tongue.
🍃ABSORB NATURE - feel the radiant sun, it’s energy enlivens us with life. While water nourishes is, the sun empowers us. Feel the wind entice your skin, breathe in fresh air, allow it to fill your lungs & take in the moment. Feel the grass & dirt beneath the souls of your feet. Let it remind you of your connection to all that surrounds you.
👥CONNECT- in life we are so grounded to ourselves, to our endeavors, in our spiritual & mundane lives; we forget to truly connect to others. To empathize, to be vulnerable, yet with kind boundaries. Talk with your loved ones, your friends, communication is key in these times.
