With school back in session, its only a matter of time ’til the new bouts of sicknesses finds their way into your home. Stop germs at the source with this alcohol-free, oil-packed hand sanitizer recipe to help keep your kids healthy in their classrooms.
5 tablespoons aloe vera gel
4 tablespoons witch hazel
1/4 teaspoon vitamin E oil
15 drops of essential oil (protective blend or lemon/melaleuca/lavender)
1. In a bowl combine aloe vera gel and vitamin E oil.
2. Add 8-10 drops of essential oil to the aloe vera mixture. We recommend protective blend or whatever essential oils you choose to use.
3. Add Witch Hazel and mix well to combine. Add more or less witch hazel depending on the consistency you want.
4. Pour into container and you’re done! Put your homemade hand cleanser in your bag, car, or office for an effective, alcohol-free hand cleanser. Don't forget to send some with your kiddos.

I try to be a positive person, see the glass half full over half empty. In honesty there are times when my brain and heart are filled with toxic thoughts. I do not like how that makes me feel or behave. I found emotional support from several blends doTERRA offers. They come in 10mL roller bottles or 5 mL oil.
Console is what I reach for when I need comfort. I feel like it is a pat on the back, a gentle nudge to keep going. I apply to the back of my neck in the shape of a cross. It helps me be patient when I am in tough situations. You can also apply over your heart.
Peace was my must have oil when I was worrying about my youngest daughter moving alone to a different country, knowing really no one there. I applied it on both sides of my neck and I promise it helped me to feel at peace with her situation.
Forgive is another on I use when I am thinking negative thoughts. It does not matter if the thoughts are from what I did or did not do, or displeasure with a person or situation. I apply it from my wrist up my left arm toward my heart. This allows me to release anger and/or guilt.
Last but not least is Cheer. You can probably guess what it does by the name! I apply it to the creases in my arm, front of elbows so every time I move my arm the scent is released and brings me a bit of cheer.

I will admit I use to think the only way to get rid of mold was with bleach. Sure it irritated my respiratory track and did horrible things to my skin but I did not know there was an alternative.

Easy to make and saves you money.
12 drops thyme oil
12 drops clove oil
12 drops tea tree oil
1 1/2 cup of white vinegar
Add everything to a spray bottle and shake before use. Spray on area you want to clean, wipe with clean cloth. The mold comes off and normally will not reappear.

Now a word of caution, do not just use any oils, make sure it is doTERRA. They are pure, third party tested and effective.

If you haven’t tried Vanilla Chai at night yet, do it. Diffuse it before bed—maybe while you stretch or journal. It’s cozy without being too sweet. My little nightly ritual lately!

Check out this simple DIY! Great way to have a candle with none of the yuck stuff.
Items:
Glass jar/bottle of your choice
Candle wick
Wick sustainer tabs
Dowel or candle wick holder
Double-sided stickers or hot glue gun
Double boiler
Ingredients:
16 oz beeswax
3/4 cup coconut oil
50-100 drops lemon Eucalyptus oil
Instructions:
1) Cut a strand of candle wick, making sure it’s a few inches taller than your jar. Using a hot glue gun or stickers, attach the wick and sustainer tab to the bottom of the jar. Place a candle wick holder or dowel across the top of your jar. Wind the wick around the dowel several times and trim wick leaving 1-2 inches extra.
2) Using a double boiler, melt the beeswax and coconut oil. Carefully pour the mixture into your jar and add the essential oil. Let harden. Once the mixture has hardened, cut the wick, leaving 1/2 inch above the level of the candle.
