Our clinic has returned to Tier 1 restrictions. Right now we are considering all illness to be Covid until proven otherwise. If you think you are ill, call us so we can get you tested. 468-2461.

There were 622 Covid infections in Hawai'i today. We should be on Tier 1, but Governor Ige is not considering it. Right now is more dangerous than it has ever been before. Even if you have been vaccinated, wear a mask, distance 6+feet, and avoid people as much as you can.

Update on what is know about Coronavirus:

1/4 of all coronavirus patients will not have symptoms. Good reason to continue social isolation. This includes foregoing that trip to the store where the virus can live on hard surfaces. Only go when absolutely necessary and, yes, masks and gloves can help. They aren't the greatest barrier, but they are a barrier. It also helps to shower, and wash your clothes as soon as you return.
Half of all Coronavirus patients with symptoms will have abdominal symptoms (diarrhea, pain, vomiting). It's not just cough and fever.
It is worse for those with diabetes as well as chronic lung or heart conditions. Good reason to quit to***co, watch your diet and take your meds.
High dose immunoglobin (natural, disease fighting chemicals and cells) improves chances for patients with severe disease. So does getting antibodies (disease-fighting cells) from patients who have recovered from the disease. These bolsters the immune system.
Because of it's effect on the immune system, Chloroquine may also help - but, it's not certain. Unfortunately, it is impossible to find right now. Pharmacy stocks were bought out as soon as it hit the news.
No studies have shown if ibuprofen or naprosyn (motrin, aleve, advil) make it worse. But, since, it has been suggested by the French government, it's best to avoid. And, tylenol can be just as effective for fever.

Our sensible approach to Patient care during Coronavirus.
1) Our staff will be masked.
2) Patients will be checked for virus symptoms on arrival.
3) All patients will go right to the treatment room and not stay in the waiting room.
4) The treatment room will be thoroughly disinfected between patients. The rest of the clinic is disinfected several times a day.
5) We are happy to see moderate to severe pain patients but patients whose pain is 3/10 or less are encouraged to stay home, take their meds and supplements and maintain quarantine.
6) We will not see anyone who has recently flown into O'ahu until they have been here 14 days.
7) We will see patients who have acute health care needs, but routine exams can wait until later.
