We're not saying we have ALL the answers, but when it comes to managing diabetes, hypertension, and kidney disease, we pretty much do! ๐Ÿ™Œ

Better yet, in my book "Conquering the Big Three," I've outlined a PROVEN 6-step process that will help you manage these conditions confidently and effectively. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Let's dive in ๐Ÿ‘‡

Step 1: Understand Your Condition: Familiarize yourself with your condition, its symptoms, and its underlying causes.

Step 2: Know Your Numbers: Regularly monitor your blood sugar level, blood pressure, and kidney function tests.

Step 3: Adopt a Balanced Diet: Incorporate a diet rich in fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains while limiting sodium, added sugars, and saturated fats.

Step 4: Exercise Regularly: Engage in physical activities like walking, cycling, or yoga to control blood sugar levels, reduce blood pressure, and slow kidney disease progression.

Step 5: Medication Management: Take prescribed medications regularly and consult with your healthcare professional for any concerns.

Step 6: Get started TODAY! You can manage these conditionsโ€ฆ Just take that first step and continue until you've fully embraced your new lifestyle!

You've got the knowledge. Now all thatโ€™s missing is that first step.

When will you be conquering the first step?

Don't forget, you can always shoot me a DM! I would love to help out! ๐Ÿค

Do you ever wish you could turn back time and apply what you now know back then? Iโ€™m having one of those days!

Three things I wish I knew when I first started learning about diabetes, hypertension, and kidney disease:

1- Prevention is Better than Cure: Adopting a healthy lifestyle early on can significantly reduce the risk of developing these chronic conditions.

2- Knowledge is Power: Understanding these health conditions in their entirety enables better management and control over them.

3- Mental Health Matters: Stress management and mental well-being are just as important as physical health in managing these chronic conditions.

Itโ€™s good to reflect on what youโ€™ve learned but sometimes not so easyโ€ฆespecially if youโ€™re still navigating your way through managing these diseases and feel like youโ€™re still trying to find the right balance!

Trust me, I know how you feel. In my journey of understanding these diseases, I've made my share of missteps!

I wish I had grasped the importance of regular physical activity sooner or realized the impact of certain foods on blood sugar levels early on.

Just remember, every misstep and failure is a lesson in disguise. Figure out what it is and keep going! You got this!

Whatโ€™s one health-related thing you wish you knew back in the day?

The Warriors Quest Show

Chronic Kidney Disease is an extremely difficult battle to deal with. Often times it takes everything out of you to just get out of bed and then you have to endure Dialysis for hours each session which could be depending upon the type of Dialysis, 3 -5 hours (Center Hemodialysis), 4 hours (Home Hemodialysis), 8 - 10 hours (Peritoneal Dialysis), it could even vary from those typicals, but the point is, a CKD patient has to be a true Warrior to endure all the trials he or she faces and that accompany it.

Warriors Quest is giving assistance to your Warriorโ€™s Battle. This assistance could be offensive or defensive help, but it will be an opportunity, starting Wednesday March 6, 2019 for the first episode of The Warriors Quests that is a weekly half hour show highlighting kidney warriors searching for a kidney donor and sharing their story on live broadcast.
