EJYS HOMES For You LLC is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our team, particularly encouraging male applicants. Key details include: As a DSP-Caregiver, responsibilities will encompass supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, mental health needs, and daily living activities to foster independence, dignity, and quality of life. This role offers learning opportunities, personal care meetings, and more. Additional key responsibilities include providing direct care and support for daily living skills, assisting with community integration and recreational activities, supporting individualized care plans, promoting independence and advocacy, taking vital signs as necessary, and maintaining accurate documentation on the Therap electronic system. Required qualifications include AL MAC certification (with assistance provided for certification), a high school diploma or equivalent, TB skin test, CPR certification, previous caregiving or DSP experience (training will be provided for the right candidates), and the ability to pass a criminal and abuse background check. Ideal candidates will possess patience, strong teamwork skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

We need individuals who are ready to listen and learn and not take advantage of their position.
Answer these questions.
1. Have you worked with individuals with intellectual disabilities or the elderly?
2. Could you work 12 hours and every other weekend?
3. Could you pass a drug test the same day of the interview, if the position is offered?
4. Do you have anything on your background report that will prevent you from being hired?
5. Do you have a high school diploma or a GED or do you plan on getting one if you do not?
6. Do you have reliable transportation?
7. Do you have small kids that will prevent you from working 12 hours , will you have help with them?
