📚✏️ It’s almost time for the school bells to ring and students to return to their classrooms!

Here are some essential tips to keep in mind:

🚌 Bus Safety: Get to the bus stop early, stand away from the curb, and always board the correct bus. Stay in clear view of the driver and never walk behind the bus.

🚗 Car Safety: Always wear a seat belt. Younger children should use car seats or booster seats until the lap-shoulder belt fits properly and ride in the back seat until at least 13 years old.

📞 Emergency Info: Ensure younger kids know their phone number, address, how to reach you, another trusted adult, and how to dial 911. Teach them not to talk to strangers or accept rides from someone they don’t know.

Here’s to a great and safe start to the new school year! 🎒🏫

🌡️ Extreme Heat Alert Across Alabama! 🌡️

Temperatures are climbing dangerously high this week, and the risk of heat-related illness is very real—especially for the most vulnerable among us.

🚨 NEVER leave children or pets in a parked car.

Even with the windows cracked, the temperature inside a vehicle can rise rapidly, becoming deadly in just minutes. If you see a child or pet alone in a car, call 911 immediately.

💡 Safety Tips:

💠 Stay hydrated—drink plenty of water.
💠 Avoid outdoor activities between 10 AM and 7 PM.
💠 Use air conditioning if available; fans alone won’t be enough.
💠 Check on neighbors, especially older adults or those without cooling.

Help us spread the word—share this post to keep your community safe during this dangerous heat wave.

We were thrilled to attend the Chase Back to School Backpack Event at the A.G. Gaston Boys & Girls Club earlier today.

JPMorganChase brought fun and learning together with games, activities, and financial literacy resources for families. Their goal was to give out 1,000 backpacks to help students start the school year prepared!

We were proud to be there educating families about emergency preparedness, lending a hand, and connecting with the community.

Alabama, it’s heating up, fast.

We’re heading into a stretch of dangerously high temperatures, and it’s not just about being uncomfortable. This kind of heat can be harmful, especially if you don’t have access to proper cooling or hydration.

Here’s what you can do:

▶️ Drink water often, even if you’re not thirsty.
▶️ If you can, stay indoors during the hottest parts of the day.
▶️ Use air conditioning if you have it, fans won’t make much of a difference
▶️ Check on your neighbors, especially those who may be at risk

Help us spread the word because a simple share could help someone stay safe.

More Than Conquerors church marching band was marching in the streets this weekend as we joined their annual "Back-to-School R.E.S.P.E.C.T. Day" to help families prepare for the '25-26' school year!

Our very own Ronnie Walker gave behind the scenes tours of our response vehicle and shared how it helps supports families after disasters. 🎒 We just love when the community comes together!
