With Trump’s win and RFK Jr.’s probably role, I don’t know about you, but I am feeling so excited and hopeful about what this could mean, for the health and the well-being of our families.
Here's why:
🍎Accountability for big food: This could be the start of holding food giants accountable and pushing for more honest food labels. Finally more transparency on what we’re feeding our families and a shift towards real, whole foods over processed junk filled with artificial sweeteners, dyes, and flavors. This is huge!
🥛Raw milk? There’s a real chance that raw milk could be legalized across the board. Right now it’s a state-by-state decision, and unfortunately, many states do not legalize the selling of raw milk. Raw milk (as long as it comes from a sanitary, trusted source) is a highly nutritious, living food, filled with beneficial bacteria, natural enzymes to help us digest it, and bioavailable vitamins & minerals. Raw milk used to be the norm. And in the last 40 years, it’s been demonized. Fingers crossed that’s it made legal again soon!🤞
💊Wellness over pharma: I’m hopeful the focus will shift towards more preventive care and natural health over highly profitable pharmaceuticals. There will be more support for holistic, proactive solutions that empower us to take control of our health rather than just quick fixes.
🛒Lower grocery prices (finally!): Let’s be real. Grocery trips have been rough on our wallets lately. Especially when you’re trying to buy all healthy, clean, organic foods. But, if things trend towards what they were in Trump’s last term, prices will come back down, allowing healthier choices to become more accessible. We’ll able to purchase fresh, organic produce, grass-fed beef, and wild-caught fish without stressing over the cost every time.
👶Protecting the unborn: As a Christian, a mom, and someone who values the sanctity of life, this is where my heart really feels it. Trump and his policies aren’t perfect, but his win is a big step for those of us who value protecting the most vulnerable and preserving family values.
So how are you feeling? Excited? Hopeful? Skeptical? Scared?
