Processed foods are draining your energy.

From depleting essential minerals to ingredients that are harming your mitochondria (your body’s energy powerhouses), processed foods leave you feeling tired, still hungry, and craving more as your body cries out for minerals.

Swipe through to learn why processed foods are worth skipping—and how to start nourishing your body instead.

With Trump’s win and RFK Jr.’s probably role, I don’t know about you, but I am feeling so excited and hopeful about what this could mean, for the health and the well-being of our families.

Here's why:
🍎Accountability for big food: This could be the start of holding food giants accountable and pushing for more honest food labels. Finally more transparency on what we’re feeding our families and a shift towards real, whole foods over processed junk filled with artificial sweeteners, dyes, and flavors. This is huge!

🥛Raw milk? There’s a real chance that raw milk could be legalized across the board. Right now it’s a state-by-state decision, and unfortunately, many states do not legalize the selling of raw milk. Raw milk (as long as it comes from a sanitary, trusted source) is a highly nutritious, living food, filled with beneficial bacteria, natural enzymes to help us digest it, and bioavailable vitamins & minerals. Raw milk used to be the norm. And in the last 40 years, it’s been demonized. Fingers crossed that’s it made legal again soon!🤞

💊Wellness over pharma: I’m hopeful the focus will shift towards more preventive care and natural health over highly profitable pharmaceuticals. There will be more support for holistic, proactive solutions that empower us to take control of our health rather than just quick fixes.

🛒Lower grocery prices (finally!): Let’s be real. Grocery trips have been rough on our wallets lately. Especially when you’re trying to buy all healthy, clean, organic foods. But, if things trend towards what they were in Trump’s last term, prices will come back down, allowing healthier choices to become more accessible. We’ll able to purchase fresh, organic produce, grass-fed beef, and wild-caught fish without stressing over the cost every time.

👶Protecting the unborn: As a Christian, a mom, and someone who values the sanctity of life, this is where my heart really feels it. Trump and his policies aren’t perfect, but his win is a big step for those of us who value protecting the most vulnerable and preserving family values.

So how are you feeling? Excited? Hopeful? Skeptical? Scared?

These are some things that are scary to me. 👻 Do you agree? Which do you think is the scariest?

It’s been a minute since I’ve been active here. Between summer break, moving my boys in together (they’ve been begging to share a room!), setting up my new office, diving back into homeschooling, working on a special project, and honestly just getting out of the habit of posting on social media, I’ve been a little quiet. 😅 Life’s been busy, and I’m sure you can relate!

But I’m excited to be back!

I’ve been focused on something really exciting that I know is going to make a big difference for you. It’s all about helping you regain your energy, take control of your health, and feel more empowered in your daily life. 💪

I can’t wait to share all the details with you soon. For now, I’m just so happy to get back into sharing more here on all things wellness, metabolism, nourishment, minerals, motherhood, and energy-boosting.

Just curious…What’s one thing you’ve been doing lately to take care of your health? Let me know in the comments! 👇

I’ve honestly been working on simplifying things. Routines. My business. Daily supplements. Wellness (Just kind of focusing more on the basics, what I got started here with….nourishment…and less on the “extra.”)

I used to be the one that said “but I eat clean and do all the right things, why do I still have no energy?”
I tried eating Paleo, Keto, intermittent fasting, and counted and restricted calories.

And still did not get my energy back on track.

I’m not saying that eating clean and avoiding processed food or avoiding non-organic food is bad.

Counting and restricting calories isn’t always bad either. It can be helpful at times, depending on what your goal is, and when done the right way.

But here’s the thing, it doesn’t matter if you’re eating the most clean, organic, healthy foods on the planet if you’re not eating enough. Eating the most nutrient-dense foods in the world but only eating 1200 calories a day will not provide you with the energy you need to thrive.

Your cells need FUEL to create energy. That fuel comes from FOOD.

Many women, especially women with fatigue, are actually eating too few calories, not too many.

So if you’re struggling with fatigue and don’t know why - take a look at your food intake. Are you eating enough to allow your body to make enough energy?

Because this is such an important piece of the energy puzzle, it is a big focus in my program, The Fatigue to Freedom System. We figure out how many calories you need for your individual body and I help you get there in a strategic way.

Comment “FFS” if you’d more info about what working with me in The Fatigue to Freedom System would look like.

Yep...let’s do it…

It’s time to talk about p**p.

I know it’s not a pretty subject and one we women don't like to talk about.

But it’s not TMI when you’re dealing with health issues like chronic fatigue.

Digestive issues and fatigue are very much linked, and your p**p (or lack of it) is something we need to talk about.

So here’s what you need to know:

1️⃣ You should be p**ping AT LEAST once a day. Ideally 2-3 times a day. Anything less than once daily is considered constipation. And with stools that are difficult to pass, very hard, or small and pebble-like, it's considered constipation.

Constipation is not good. Keeping waste in your colon for too long allows toxins that your body is trying to excrete to be reabsorbed and continue to cause problems.

2️⃣ When you’re in a stressed, fight-or-flight mode, your digestion slows down. Your body is concerned about IMMEDIATE survival and it prioritizes sending oxygen, nutrients, and energy to those vital organs necessary to keep you alive when you’re running from danger.

Your gut is not one of those organs. So when you're eating in a stressed state, digestion WILL be dialed down. And poor digestion at the top - in your mouth and stomach - leads to issues all the way down - eventually causing constipation.

3️⃣When you're not digesting well, you're not absorbing the nutrients from your food well. And you need nutrients to create energy and perform all the necessary jobs your body has to carry out. So improving your gut health can make a big difference in your energy levels.

My #1 tip for boosting digestion?

🧘‍♀️Eat in a relaxed, calm state, free of distractions.🧘‍♀️

Whenever we work on improving digestion we work from the top down. And that really starts in your brain.

Before you even take a bite of your food, prepare your body by getting in a relaxed state. Calm your nervous system so that your brain is able to signal to your digestive organs that food is coming and it's time for them to do their job. It's time to put energy towards digesting, rather than surviving.

Post an emoji 👇that describes how you feel when talking about this subject 💩😲🙈🙉🙊

Ever been told that you have low iron levels? Or been diagnosed with iron-deficiency anemia? I, for one, used to think that low iron was a huge culprit of fatigue, until I dug deeper.

Now, don't get me wrong. Iron is essential for good energy. It’s needed to produce red blood cells and helps shuttle oxygen around the body. Gotta have oxygen for energy!

But low iron levels on blood tests, especially if it’s just ferritin your doctor is checking, may not always be telling the whole story. It might just mean that the iron is hanging out in other places besides the blood, like your liver, heart, and pancreas.

More often than not, fatigue isn't about not having enough iron, but more about iron DYSREGULATION. Usually, the iron's there, and it’s probably even there in excess. But it’s stuck in the wrong places, in your tissues, instead of doing its job in the blood.

Iron is so abundant on Earth (about 35% of Earth’s mass is iron), and it’s fortified in a ton of foods. Since the 1930s, iron has been added to foods like cereal, bread, and pasta. And here's the kicker - since iron is so important, our bodies actually RECYCLE iron. That’s right! (When everything is working properly) it recycles 24 mg of iron each day. We only need to eat enough to make up a tiny deficit each day, something easy to do unless you're completely plant-based and eat zero meat.

So why's the iron acting out and stuck in our tissues instead of being recycled like it should be? A big part of it is a lack of OTHER nutrients to guide iron and tell it where to go.

Simply popping iron pills because a blood test says you’re low, can lead to more health issues like inflammation and increased risk of disease. Lots of iron stuck in your tissues is a recipe for oxidation (think rust - like what happens when your kids leaves their bike outside and it rains).

Addressing “iron deficient anemia” doesn't mean just bumping up your iron. It's about ensuring your vitamins and minerals are in BALANCE with each other. It’s about getting to the root cause, supporting the systems in your body, and correcting the reason iron isn’t being regulated like it should.

Who else feels like they've tried everything in your battle against fatigue and nothing seems to work?

It's frustrating and overwhelming when all the things you're trying aren't working. But there is hope. You CAN get your energy back.

Here's some reasons why you may be stuck in this cycle of fatigue:

1️⃣ You haven't found the right approach for your unique body yet. Even though it feels like you've tried everything, you likely haven't. There's a lot of "things" out there.

We are all different, and what works for someone else may not be the best fit for you. Our bodies have individual needs. Different things may be at the root of your sluggish metabolism & fatigue. So it's important to address the needs of your body and see what resonates with your system. An HTMA is a GREAT way to find out what your individual body needs.

2️⃣ You may be implementing the right strategies, but lacking the consistency and accountability to see lasting results. It's not enough to simply KNOW what to do; you need to commit to those practices consistently over time.

3️⃣ You might be doing all the right things, but pushing yourself too hard too fast. When we're eager to see improvements, it's tempting to dive in headfirst and overload our bodies with new routines, supplements, exercise, and other lifestyle changes. However, this approach can actually be counterproductive, causing more stress and strain than support. Remember to be gentle with yourself and gradually introduce new habits, allowing your body time to adapt and adjust. Overcoming fatigue is more about nourishment, rest, and gentleness than going hard on all the biohacking trends and the latest and greatest supplements.

If any of these scenarios resonate with you, please know that you're not alone and there is a way forward. The key is to identify the root cause of your fatigue and find the specific strategies that work best for your unique body.
