Traumatic events can really shake a person's sense of safety and stability, including individuals in recovery. Did you know that Wood River Health offers recovery support groups for our patients? A support group is a place where people with similar experiences come together to share, listen and help each other. Healing takes time, but it often starts with feeling safe again and reconnecting with supportive people and practices.

Our Behavioral Health team offers a safe place where people can begin and support their healing journey together. Certified Peer Recovery Specialists are people who have gone through recovery themselves. They are trained and certified by the State of Rhode Island to help others find their own path to recovery.

Wood River Health's Senior Director of Integrated Care Christine King and Director of Development and Communications Sarah Channing were invited by Rona Mann to be on 321 Media's Mann About Town show on Wednesday, December 10.
