Dierksen Hospice helps develop a caring community that can provide comprehensive services to patients and their families during the last phases of life.

Dierksen Hospice was founded by Camile Dierksen-Gamble and her two children in 2006. With the passing of her husband and their father in 1996 the mission began. While their own personal experience with hospice was less than desirable the goal is to ensure care and compassion to both families and patients in their time of need. There is a true belief that the quality of life is just as important as the quantity of life. The focus is to keep patients pain free and in their place of residence whether that be at home, the hospital, a nursing facility or in an assisted living facility while treating the emotional and spiritual needs as well.

September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, a time to shine light on the most common cancer among men in the United States.

- 1 in 8 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime.
- While many cases are treatable when caught early, advanced prostate cancer is among the diagnoses often seen in hospice care.

At Dierksen Hospice, we are honored to walk alongside patients and families facing this journey, offering comfort, dignity, and support every step of the way.

Today, we pause not to erase the pain of loss but to acknowledge it and walk together towards healing. On National Grief Awareness Day, we recognize that grief is not something to “get over.” It’s a journey that looks different for everyone, and it’s a reflection of the deep love we carry.
