Shine Your Light for Lupus!!! I have been sick so I’m posting late!

Having lupus makes everyday life challenging. When your lupus is active, symptoms like joint stiffness, pain, fatigue, confusion, or depression can make simple tasks difficult and sometimes impossible. Since these symptoms aren’t visible, the people around you may have trouble understanding how you feel and why you feel that way. If you have a friend or family with Lupus do them a favor and check in on them. This disease has a high suicidal rate.

Below, are just a few times I’ve been in a flare with the butterfly rash.

Update 3-5-25

I saw a dermatologist and she took a biopsy of one of my many spots. The spot she extracted for the biopsy required two stitches and will be removed in two weeks when I go back to find out what the biopsy results are. Please, continue to keep me and my spots in your prayers. 🙏🏻🙏🏻

I feel like the book of “A Bad Case of Stripes” by David Shannon but I have spots instead!

When you have to start your Lupus infusion before the sun comes up, you just wear your pajamas!!

My face is swollen today. I can feel the tightness in my feet and hands from the constant pounding of pain due to all the inflammation. It hurts to just touch my skin. My face is red as I start to break out in a rash. My face is so red, Miguel, thought I was crying this morning.

I can’t allow my body to heal from the surgery I had last week before turning around to another week full of appointments.

Anxiety sets in. All the what if’s and for me those what ifs will probably be. I hate the deformed mass my mind and body have become. Nobody and I mean nobody can relate. It’s not just a cold. It’s not just like the flu. It’s a thousand times worse than anyone can see or imagine.

Yes, I used a filter because I’m so embarrassed of how I look. I’m mad at my ailments. Sad at my life. Depressed planning my future.

This is the face of chronic illnesses 💜

PAIN 24/7! Pressure 24/7! Urgency 24/7!
IC has been shown to be associated with autoimmune diseases such as systemic lupus. My lupus has effected my kidneys as has my IC. I’ve been in bed most of today. My kidneys hurt in my back so bad and I’m having a bad IC flare up.

Interstitial cystitis is a chronic condition causing bladder pressure, bladder pain and sometimes pelvic pain. The pain ranges from mild discomfort to severe pain. The condition is a part of a spectrum of diseases known as painful bladder syndrome.

I already have endometriosis, pelvic floor issues, systemic lupus, and pelvic floor inflammation that causes me severe pain. Having IC on top of all this makes the pain worse. 🥺🥺🥺

For more than 260 years, people of all ages have been battling scleroderma—with the first patient being diagnosed at just 17-years-old. How old were you when scleroderma became a part of your life?

I had never even heard the word scleroderma and now it’s a part of my daily life, unfortunately. I was 43 when I was diagnosed. Hopefully, I’ll live longer than our life expectancy is!

If they want to choose something or someone over you, LET THEM.
If they want to go weeks without talking to you, LET THEM.
If they are okay with never seeing you, LET THEM.
If they are okay with always putting themselves first, LET THEM.
If they are showing you who they are and not what you perceived them to be, LET THEM.
If they want to follow the crowd, LET THEM.
If they want to judge or misunderstand you, LET THEM.
If they act like they can live without you, LET THEM.
If they want to walk out of your life and leave,
hold the door open, AND LET THEM.

Let them lose you.
You were never theirs, because you were always your own.

So let them.

Let them show you who they truly are, not tell you.
Let them prove how worthy they are of your time.
Let them make the necessary steps to be a part of your life.
Let them earn your forgiveness.
Let them call you to talk about ordinary things.
Let them take you out on a Thursday.
Let them talk about anything and everything just because it’s you they are talking to.
Let them have a safe place in you.
Let them see the heart in you that didn’t harden.
Let them love you.

I just took a DNA test turn out.. yep I’m 💯 chronically ill! Chronic meaning always. It never goes away!!! 🥹🥹

My tummy hurts!! So true today! 🥹🥹
Tomorrow I go for another gastric emptying test to see why I’m not getting any better! Praying for answers!!! 💚💕💚💕
