This morning, during our All-Staff meeting, we had the honor of recognizing Roxanne, one of our dedicated volunteers. For the past 10 years, Roxanne has been an integral part of the Silverado Hospice family, embodying the compassion and commitment that define our volunteers.

As she prepares to move to Austin to be closer to her beloved grandchildren, we are filled with mixed emotions. While we are overjoyed that she will be reunited with her family, we will deeply miss her presence and contributions. Roxanne's unwavering passion for helping others has left an indelible mark on all of us.

Our volunteers are truly remarkable individuals, and Roxanne will always hold a special place in our hearts. She will forever be a cherished member of the Silverado family.

We had the pleasure of showing our appreciation to the incredible nurses at Worthington Manor with our essential oils, courtesy of Silverado. We wanted to pamper them with our Silverado bath salts essential oils, lavender massage oil, anxiety-relief sprays, and essential oil lotions.

It was also a wonderful opportunity to share about our essential oils program at Silverado Hospice and how it can benefit their patients. 🌿💜

💙Meet the team continues with one of our special Volunteers!💙

My name is Christine Kenda, and I'm originally from Kirksville, Missouri. I'm married to Bill, and we live in Cypress, Texas. We're kept busy with our five children and ten amazing grandchildren! My husband and I run a small consulting engineering firm – I help out part-time. When I'm not working, you'll probably find me spoiling my grandkids (we have lots of fun mini playdates!), tending my garden, or creating art. We also have two dogs, Duke and Bella. Duke's in a therapy program, and we love taking him to visit people in assisted living, hospice, and children's hospitals – it's something we're both passionate about.

Hi! My name is Jannelle Sullivan — your Northeast Houston area Liaison for Silverado Hospice 💙 Aside from being a Liaison, I am a Christ follower, a Wife, a Mom, and a photographer! Outside of work, you can find me with my family/friends, at the gym, or taking photos outdoors or in my studio!

I have been in the healthcare industry for almost 10 years now— from hospital setting to a skilled nursing home setting, and now to Hospice… I have the biggest passion for being able to help people and putting a smile on their face. Working as a Silverado Hospice liaison allows me to do just that.

I am so honored and blessed to be a part of The Silverado team! I love that I get to give the gift of Hospice/comfort care to those who need it. I love that I get to educate families and Individuals the benefits that comfort care has and what Hospice actually is.

The phrase, “love what you do, and you’ll never work a day in your life.” is SO true. What a blessing!
