UTHealth Auxiliary Enterprises - Recreation Center The Rec Center aims to improve work-life balance by offering facilities, equipment and programs designed for fitness, fun + friendly competition.

Highlighted by a heated outdoor Olympic-size swimming pool, the Rec Center also features cardiovascular equipment, free weights and resistance equipment, courts for racquetball, basketball, tennis, pickleball and sand volleyball, table tennis, multi-purpose athletic fields and an outdoor jogging trail with fitness stations. Programs consist of personal training, motivational and incentive programs, group fitness classes, team and individual recreational sports, seasonal swim lessons and certification courses by the American Heart Association. Convenient location adjacent to University Housing with easy access the UT Shuttle and B-Cycle Station.

Due to an expected HVAC issues the Recreation Center had to closed today at 1:30PM. We will remain closed today and tomorrow, 8/20. We expect to reopen on Thursday, 8/21 at the usual time! We apologize for the inconvenience and will keep every posted if there are any changes.

ATTENTION: On Tuesday, July 15th the Recreation Center will be closed due to a full electrical outage required for CenterPoint's replacement of our main power pole. To avoid any inconvenience or disruption of occupants and members, the Recreation Center and pool will be closed the entire day. We expect to reopen at 5:30am on Wednesday, July 16th.

On the 4th of July, the Recreation Center will be open from 10AM - 8PM. Be safe!

We've got 2 new group fitness classes starting this week! Mondays at 6:30PM is Yoga with Andrew, a student at McGovern Medical School and Tuesdays at 5:30PM is Bolly-X with Shaili, an alumni of the School of Public Health! Classes are FREE for all UTHealth Students (enrolled in summer classes) and Rec Center Members.
