Happy 4th of July to our DISH Family! We want to remind everyone to wearing hearing protection if you are going to be around fireworks! Fireworks can exceed 150 dB which could cause permanent damage to your hearing! At DISH, we want to encourage everyone to take care your ears!

Even in quiet there are so many sounds! Wind blowing, birds chirping, rain falling, children whispering, waves crashing, and bees buzzing are some of the many soft sounds that people with hearing loss may be missing out on.

Take time today to listen for these soft sounds. If you have a child with hearing loss, make a game of naming all of the sounds you hear.

Our DDC students learned about picnics this week. Here our friend is playing "Picnic, I Spy" we love to play games because they are fun and engaging for the children. It's also a great way to get their minds flowing and teach them useful skills.
