When my father-in-law passed away from a sudden heart attack, our entire world changed.

Symptoms of DVT in legs are Leg pain, swelling, redness, tenderness, or warm skin but there may be no symptoms.

Symptoms of pulmonary embolism are shortness of breath, chest pain, and cough.

I have been a Registered Vascular Technologist for almost 15 years, I have a BS in healthcare management, I also have my MBA and I’m the founder of Vein and Vascular Pros. The reason I started working as an independent contractor is that having an experienced sonographer is the key for right diagnosis and treatments for patients. If one of your legs is swelling more than the other one, read this 👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇May-Thurner Syndrome (MTS)
May-Thurner Syndrome occurs because the left (or uncommonly, right) iliac vein is compressed by an artery. (The iliac veins and arteries lie deep in the pelvis). This compression of the iliac vein obstructs venous drainage of the left leg leading to \ swelling and irregular vein development.

How do I know if I have MTS? Many people do not know they have May-Thurner Syndrome. If one leg is more swollen than the other, or has a worse vein problem, you may be affected.

What is the treatment for MTS? MTS is treated by relieving the vein compression with a stent or angioplasty.

This patient is only 25 years old. While age can be a risk factor for venous insufficiency , it's not the only determining factor. Other factors like genetics, lifestyle, and underlying health conditions can also play a significant role in the development of vein issues. Leg redness can indeed be a symptom of vein disease, particularly conditions like venous insufficiency or varicose veins. When veins are not functioning properly, blood can pool in the legs, leading to increased pressure and inflammation. This can cause the skin to appear red, swollen, or even develop ulcers in severe cases.

They can properly diagnose the underlying cause and recommend appropriate treatment options to alleviate the issue. Early detection and intervention can help manage vein diseases effectively.
