If you’re always the strong one… this is your sign.

On February 28th, I’ll be speaking at Black Mental Wellness Day, leading a session called “The Mental Load of Always Being the Strong One.”

Because being strong all the time is heavy.
Because survival shouldn’t be your default setting.
Because you deserve support too.

This virtual experience is creating space for conversations we don’t usually get to have out loud, and that alone makes it powerful.

✨ Come be in the room.
✨ Come put the load down.

National Caregivers Day 🤍

Caregiving is one of the most invisible forms of strength.

It’s the late-night worry.
It’s the appointments.
It’s the emotional regulation when you’re tired yourself.

It’s holding space for someone else’s healing while quietly managing your own.

And what I know for sure is this:
Caregivers are often expected to be strong without being supported.

If you are caring for someone’s mental health, physical health, or emotional well-being. I want you to hear me clearly:

You are allowed to have limits.
You are allowed to rest.
You are allowed to need help too.

Being the strong one does not mean being the silent one.

Today, I honor caregivers who show up even when it’s heavy.

And I encourage you to pour back into yourself the same way you pour into others.

You deserve care too.

I was 14.
Still a child.
Still figuring out who I was.
Still believing attention meant worth.

And like so many of us, I learned way too early how to shrink, perform, and harden myself just to feel chosen.

This chapter of Quiet As Kept is about what happens when girls are forced to “grow up” before they’re protected, affirmed, or even seen.
It’s about how survival starts disguising itself as confidence.
How silence becomes a habit.
How we normalize what should’ve never been normal.

If any part of your story includes learning life the hard way,
being sexualized too soon,
or carrying shame that was never yours to hold…

This book is for you.

📖 Quiet As Kept isn’t just something to read.
It’s something to feel, unpack, and heal through.

January wasn’t flashy.
It didn’t come with big wins or loud breakthroughs.

It came with truth.
And honestly? That was enough.

This month, I’m not performing healing.
I’m practicing it.

February is about SELF:
self-trust, self-honesty, and self-respect that shows up even when it’s uncomfortable.

If January taught you something, too…
sit with it. Honor it. Carry it forward gently.
