Middle school was the first time speech language pathology peaked my interest.

I realized language acquisition can be vastly different from person to person. After a little more research, I knew I wanted to be a SLP.

Fast forward to undergrad & grad school —->

My passion for working with adults emerged! Kids are great, but the medical side of the field was more intriguing.

My externship (an aphasia rehabilitation center) further validated my career choice. Being apart of their journey to communicate effectively (verbally and/or nonverbal) was gratifying.

Hi 👋🏾 I’m Kolby and I’m a Speech-Language Pathologist and the Owner of Neurogenix. I’m based in Houston and the greater Houston area. I developed this company for 2 reasons.

1. I am passionate about treating the adult and geriatric populations

2. I saw there was a need in to create a company dedicated solely to adult neurological rehabilitation related to speech, language, cognition, and swallowing 🧠🍴📚🗣
