REAL TALK from the Trades 🔧
At a Plumbing Company, the motto used to be:
👉 “If you’ve got tools and common sense, you’ll be fine.”
Then Rico showed up.
Great guy. Hard worker. But…
– Took the company van home (didn’t know it wasn’t allowed)
– Borrowed shop parts for a side gig (thought it was okay)
– Showed up in flip-flops (yep… flip-flops 😬)
No one told him the rules — because, well, there weren’t any written down.
That’s when the boss realized:
🛠️ We wouldn’t hand someone a toolbox with half the tools missing…
So why hand them a job without showing them how the shop runs?
👉 That’s why every trade shop needs an employee handbook.
Not corporate fluff. Just straight-up, shop-floor expectations.
Clear. Simple. No guesswork.
Because when everyone knows the rules — work runs smoother, and people respect the gig.
