In times of change, especially with new policies and budget cuts impacting our field, it’s easy to feel discouraged. But now more than ever, we must stand firm—as advocates for our profession, our patients, and the children we serve.

We can’t afford to panic OR stay silent. Instead, we must rise with purpose: stay informed, plan wisely, and use our voices to protect what matters.

📚 Fun Fact: Everyday routines like grocery shopping, playing outside, or family road trips are full of opportunities to build vocabulary, improve sentence structure, and encourage storytelling.

👩‍👧‍👦 Here are 3 easy & fun summer speech tips for parents and caregivers:

1️⃣ Narrate your day – Talk through what you’re doing out loud. (“Now we’re cutting watermelon. It’s big, red, and juicy!”)
2️⃣ Play “I Spy” – Great for describing words, categories, and turn-taking.
3️⃣ Tell summer stories – Ask your child to describe their favorite summer moment so far. Help them add details like who, what, when, and where!
