Meals for Healthcare workers

Today we delivered 400 meals to the Healthcare Hero’s at Memorial Hermann Sugar Land Hospital. Covid cases continue to rise and our hospitals are working hard to keep us all safe. Thanks to Aling’s and Irfan Motiwala and Gary Yan for your continued efforts to support our community.

Thank you to Aling’s for your generosity in feeding over 100 Healthcare Hero’s at Methodist Sugar Land. Staff told me that they have over 100 Covid cases at the Hospital currently and extremely busy. Staff also reminds the public to always practice social distancing, always wear a mask and wash your hands. Let’s do our part to bring down the cases.

This week we were delighted to serve 300 plus meals to the front line heroes at Memorial Hermann Sugar Land Hospital. 21 different departments at the hospital were served. Thanks to all of those who donated to this great cause. We have served almost 3000 meals over the past 10 weeks.

I am pleased to inform you that over the past week we have fed over 700 frontline workers at the following hospitals.
-Oakbend Hospital on Williams Way
-Memorial SE Hospital Covid ICU
-Methodist Sugar Land
-Memorial Hermann Children’s Hospital
Thank you to Aling’s, Gyros Hut and Gyros Guys for providing the meals at a savings so that our dollars can go further.

July has been a busy month of getting much need hot meals to our front line workers. We have visited:

Memorial Hermann SL
Oakbend Hospital
HCA Hospital Med Center
St Michaels ER.

Some of the facilities we have done day shift and night shift.

Looking forward to a busy week as we end July with some sweet deliveries too!!

In these current times, it is often possible to forget about those who are sacrificing themselves and their families for the benefit of the entire community. As a former registered nurse and proud citizen of Sugar Land, I am aware of the time, passion, energy that goes into caring for those who need assistance. These times are different, but we must seek to not forget about the frontline workers that risk themselves to take care of those who are battling COVID-19. Some cannot see their families or receive proper meals in fears of risking exposing themselves to others. I am starting this GoFundMe to raise money to be able to provide meals for the doctors and nurses that are on the frontlines of this pandemic. Any amount can go a long way in providing meals to frontline workers all over our county and city. These hospital staff, nurses, and doctors are heroes and we must give back to them everything they give to us.
