Exercise is more than just a physical workout; itโ€™s a powerful tool for boosting your mental health. As athletes, you already know the importance of staying in peak physical condition, but letโ€™s talk about what exercise does for your mind.

Regular physical activity releases endorphins - your brainโ€™s natural mood elevators. It reduces stress, sharpens focus, and enhances your overall mental resilience. When you train your body, youโ€™re also training your mind to handle the pressures of competition and life.

โš ๏ธPower outages in Houston and surrounding areas have left many relying on generators. While I'm praying for the swift restoration of power for all, it's crucial to be aware of the mental health risks and signs of carbon monoxide poisoning.

Key Points to Remember:

1. Never use a generator inside your home or business. Ensure it's placed outside, away from windows and doors.

2. Do not plug the generator into an extension cord; use only the cords recommended by the manufacturer.

3. Be vigilant for symptoms such as ๐—ฐ๐—ผ๐—ป๐—ณ๐˜‚๐˜€๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป, ๐—บ๐—ฒ๐—บ๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐˜† ๐—น๐—ผ๐˜€๐˜€, ๐—ต๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐—ฑ๐—ฎ๐—ฐ๐—ต๐—ฒ๐˜€, ๐—ฑ๐—ถ๐˜‡๐˜‡๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ฒ๐˜€๐˜€, ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ ๐˜„๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐—ธ๐—ป๐—ฒ๐˜€๐˜€. These can be indicators of carbon monoxide poisoning.

Hey everyone, itโ€™s Dr. Dawn Psych MD here. Over the next few days, I want to share a series of video posts addressing a topic thatโ€™s incredibly important yet often shrouded in silence: su***de. As a psychiatrist and friend, Iโ€™ve seen the profound impact it has on individuals and loved ones. My goal with this series is to foster understanding, offer compassion, and provide crucial information.

Weโ€™ll explore why someone might consider ending their life, what goes on in the brain, the intricacies of suicidal fantasies, and more. Weโ€™ll also discuss how to recognize warning signs and what you can do to help. Remember, you are not alone in this.

We must stop associating su***de with how handsome or pretty one appears, how much money they have, or the fame theyโ€™ve earned. None of these traits, situations, or positions / roles matter. Instead, we should look closer at su***de in relation to the disconnect and isolation one may experience with others due to the emotional pain that causes them to feel shame, guilt, and sadness.

Together, we can break the stigma and support one another. Letโ€™s start this journey with open hearts and minds. ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿง
