Here at Super Speech Solutions, LLC, we are continuing with our weekly toddler car themed post.

Activity:
Get some large bubble, bubble wrap. Put some pieces of painter's tape on it to make it a road.

Directions:
Enjoy driving big cars on the road to hear the bubbles pop. You can also take turns jumping on the road to make the bubbles pop.

How to work on language:
1. You can target using words, short phrases, or sentences such as jump, drive, pop, beep beep, ready, set, go; and drive the car.

How it went for us:
- My toddler did not like driving his cars on the road or jumping on the bubble wrap. However, he did imitate some new words and enjoyed watching me jump on the road!

Activity:
Find a small box and flatten it. Tape the sides down and cut a piece of the box on one side.

Directions:
Slide cars down the ramp and/or park them under the box by opening the door.

How to work on language:
1. You can target using words, short phrases, or sentences such as open, close, park, ramp, slide, ready, set, go; open the door, and close the door.

How it went for us:
- My toddler loved this activity. He really enjoyed opening the door and parking his cars under the box!

Here at Super Speech Solutions, LLC, we are introducing cars as our new theme for toddler activities. This is by far my son's favorite toy!

Activity:
Take out different colors of construction paper and different colored cars. Help your child match the color of the paper to their cars.

How to work on language:
1. You can target using words, short phrases, or sentences such as blue, car, blue car, and I like blue.

How it went for us:
- My toddler did not take to this activity at all. He preferred to drive his cars on the paper. However, a few days later, I found him organizing his cars by himself!

Here at Super Speech Solutions, LLC, we are on our last weekly toddler ice themed post. Next week, we will be switching to a new theme!

Activity:
Freeze water with baking soda in a few molds overnight.

Directions:
Place the blocks of ice in a pan. Pour a small amount of vinegar over them and watch the fizz!

How to work on language:
1. You can target using words, short phrases, or sentences such as pop, pour, fizz, more fizz, and I see fizz.
2. You can also introduce new words or sentences such as melt, slide, hit, slide the ice, and hit the ice.

How the activity went for us:
- My toddler enjoyed seeing the fizz. Then, I tried to have him play ice hockey with me using the ice as pucks with his plastic golf clubs. He did not like that, but then we poured some vinegar on the patio and made it into an air hockey game.
