Why Skipping Breakfast Might Be Holding You Back
Ever feel sluggish, irritable, or reaching for sugar and caffeine before noon? That might not be a willpower issue—it could be your breakfast (or lack of one) setting the tone for the day.
For women over 50, a balanced breakfast isn’t just about “starting the day right.” It’s a tool for better energy, metabolism, and hormone balance.
Skipping it (or opting for a quick carb-heavy choice) can lead to blood sugar crashes, cravings, and sluggish digestion.
So what should breakfast look like?
Think protein, healthy fats, and fiber—things that keep you full and focused. Some of my go-to options:
✔️ Scrambled eggs or tofu with avocado & whole-grain toast
✔️ Greek yogurt with nuts & berries
✔️ A protein smoothie with leafy greens & almond butter
Your body deserves fuel that supports you—not just a quick fix. If breakfast has been an afterthought, try shifting your approach this week. Your energy levels (and mood!) will thank you.
