SPECIAL SPOTLIGHT:
This week's spotlight is all about Danyel Humprey, a Study Coordinator on Flow Vascular’s research team. Danyel started working with Flow this past February and helps Flow facilitate research across the facilities.
Some of our patients are also subjects in different types of research studies, some are for big medical device manufacturers like Merit Medical. The WAVE study is the Merit WRAPSODY Stent Graft, potentially to one day be used to assist in treating some of our dialysis patients.
Danyel coordinates with the subjects, doctors, AAs, clinics, and dialysis centers, and collects all this data and research as needed. Once the device is thoroughly studied and receives FDA approval then the device is available for more patients with similar medical needs.
While a lot of what Danyel does also revolves around scrutinous paperwork, research is still a very pivotal part of moving the medical field forward. Like Flow’s caring nurses, Danyel works hard so our patients can have the best quality of life, even if that route is not as direct.

We deeply regret to hear about the loss of music legend Tina Turner.

A natural talent, Turner was widely regarded as the "Queen of Rock 'n' Roll," selling over 100 million records worldwide and receiving 12 Grammy awards.

Turner was also a kidney transplant recipient, having received the gift of life from her husband, Erwin Bach, in 2017.
