Going to the gym can be intimidating AF! In fact, I didn’t go to the gym barely at all for the first 3 months of my journey. I get messages from lots of women who say they are terrified to go to the gym. They say things like-
🧐what if everyone knows I don’t know what I’m doing?
🤨what if they think I’m too fat to be there?
😔what if I look silly doing the machines wrong?
Hear me when I tell you this…everyone in the gym is looking at THEMSELVES🤣!! Why do you think there are mirrors everywhere? And honestly, if they are talking s**t, they suck and are so insecure that they have to put people down so they can feel good🤚🏼
Tips for feeling confident in the gym:
🏋🏻♀️Go in with a plan- if you have no idea what you want to do, there’s this thing called the internet that has 904873625 million ideas! IG has tons of accounts that are dedicated to posting their workouts. I get the best workouts from and and when I see one I like, I save it to my glutes folder or my upper body folder depending on what the workout is targeting.
🏋🏾Use your phone! If you come to a machine that you have no idea how to use, Google the name of the machine (most are labeled). A ton of YouTube videos will pop up and show you exactly how to use it.
🏋🏻♂️Ask a trainer to show you how the machine works. It’s literally their job!
🏋🏾Walk in like you own the place💁🏻♀️Pretend that you are a regular and that you are super confident in what you are doing. Hold your head high and be proud! You carried your ass to the gym and that’s A LOT more than many people do! Be proud!
Just like anything the more you do something the better it gets and the more comfortable you feel. YOU DESERVE TO TAKE UP SPACE! Put on a cute outfit, prance into that gym and kill it! I guarantee your self esteem will skyrocket☄️
