Sananga is a powerful healing eye drops that routinely offered before or after kambo sessions.

Sananga is also known as Becchete, is extracted from a plant shrub Tabernaemontana undalate, which is the same shrub Iboga medicine is derived from.

This medicine is not for the fate of heart as it does sting the eyes as if hot pepper is being blown directly into your eyes. But if you are able to endure the discomfort, you reap the benefits of clearing stagnant energies, improving eye sight, a sense of feeling more grounded & calm, and heightening of one's vision perception and color enhancement. .

Utilizing natural herbs through smudging assist us in creating sacred space during each Kambo ceremonial experience. .

Smudging is a beautiful way to energetically cleanse a space and invite positive purified energy into the atmosphere. .

Sage is popularly known to cleanse the energy of any density or negativity in the air. .

Palo Santo is also used for a similar purpose with a milder scent. Palo Santo is also used to assist in purging during a kambo process as the energy helps draw out the density in the body. .

Copal (my personal favorite): Comes in different scents and colors (golden, white, and black): Its sweet scent assist in purifying the air of density and negative energies, balances the chakras, and still & calms the mind during the process. .

Smudging is offered during each session and deeper spiritual cleansing (limpias) sessions available upon request. I practice the traditional methods taught to me by curanderos near the Mexican border.

Let’s dive into some of the main bioactive peptides today that are present in the kambo medicine.🐸❤️ If you are wondering what “bioactive peptides” are, its basically chains of amino acid that triggers specific chemical reactions in the body. 🐸

Its good to know what is contributing to the different effects that happen within the body as it will assist you in alleviating any worries or stress during the process.

🐸The kambo process can be a tough initial response of nausea, vomitng, facial flushing, mild high heart rate, and gastric discomfort! But did you know this is contributed to the phyllomedusin peptides that act on the GI smooth muscles, pancreas, and gallbladder.

Are frogs harmed in the process of gathering medicine?

Despite what people may think, frogs are not harmed during the harvesting process as Kambo is first and foremost a spirit of the forest who is to be treated with respect and reverence.

Harming the from could offend the animal and result in severe misfortune based on indigenous beliefs.

The Matses tribes harvest the frogs at dawn by singing to them to come towards the shaman. The frog is stretched by strings tied to its limbs in the shape of an X. Although, it looks uncomfortable, the frogs aren’t injured and released afterwards in perfect health.

The secretions are then crystalized onto wooden sticks and prepared for use by mixing it with a few drops of water or saliva.

Although, I haven’t personally seen the process for myself yet, as I do plan to go to the amazon next summer, I strongly believe the Matses & Katukina tribes hold the frogs with deep respect and honor as the frogs bless us with this powerful healing medicine.

Very grateful to have cross paths with this medicine again…

Kambo applications require practitioners to create gateways into the lymphatic system for treatment. As you probably already know, the lymph system is the body largest detoxification center and inducing a chemical process within the system will drastically effect the entire human body.

So, traditional burn sticks are gathered from the bejuco yare vine that originates in many parts of the Amazon and used to make gateways into the body. Some practitioners may prefer to use bamboo incense sticks as well to facilitate a cleaner looking gateway with greater precision.

Either tool allows for the individual to have a quick burn with little discomfort or pain throughout the process.
