Achieving this much projection in one round is not always possible.

It depends on a number of factors

1. Amount of fat available

2. How much skin looses a patient has to fill the buttock

3. Skin tightness due to multiple ligaments in the buttock only allowing so much expansion

4. Fat retention

5. Amount of fat place by surgeon

As you can see in that list, only # 5 is truly in the control of your doctor

A lot of the local environment will affect how much fat will survive

I often let patients know who bring in pictures and say "I look just like her" that it is important to takes these variables into account.

Also, underlying foundation is extremely important to consider.

The most unpredictable area to graft with high success given the low blood supply and typically tight skin!

In my experience patients with tight skin will likely require a second round or isolated transfer to the hips to stretch and have viable long term retention of fat.

Patients who have significant hip dips similar to this patient but have good laxity to the skin typically have better take with one ☝️ surgery.

If you have significant hip dips or tight skin be reasonable with your expectations post op and or know you many need a second round to graft to the hips!

Procedure: 360/fat transfer to hips/arms/highlight etch
