The Art of Recovery is here. These are just some of the therapudic holistic ways we teach clients to find and use their voice. Here is a beautiful piece written by our Wellness Director, Michelle Lea Wimberly, who Is there to guide you through your journey. https://www.facebook.com/share/1GqfjbHBE9/?mibextid=wwXIfr

Beyond a Choice: When Your Heart is Hurting

We talk about addiction like it's a decision, but the truth is, for so many of us, it's a desperate way to cope with overwhelming pain. It's the silent struggle with anxiety that makes your chest feel tight, the heavy blanket of depression that makes getting out of bed feel impossible, or the echoes of past trauma that just won't go away.

Your healing journey is about so much more than "recovery." It's about tenderly tending to the deeper reasons your heart started looking for an escape in the first place. You see, the pain wasn't something you chose, and neither was the coping mechanism.

We believe that true healing begins when we treat the whole person, with kindness and without judgment. It's about learning new, gentle ways to soothe your nervous system and finding the courage to face the storm, knowing you don't have to do it alone.

Your story is one of resilience. If you're ready to start writing the next chapter, one that's filled with peace and freedom, please reach out. We're here to hold space for you. 🩵🧠🫶

Let the light in!

At Serenity Light Recovery, we meet the clients where they are in their addiction and guide them down a path of recovery that enables sustainable long-term recovery. We help them see the light through the darkness and overcome barriers to change to achieve true freedom. Our ultimate goal is to improve their quality of life and empower them to make positive choices.

The disease of addiction does not discriminate, it is an equal opportunity destroyer. Substance abuse disorder doesn’t care about socioeconomic standing, gender, education or age. Our clients are not alone in this journey and the diversity of our staff, over 80% of which are in recovery, are a testament to that. Making the decision to seek help for addiction is a choice that should be rewarded and cherished. We all recover differently, yet together.

We have a family of compassionate and experienced addiction specialists to help clients through the treatment process. Our team determines the underlying cause of substance abuse and employs a multitude of evidence-based treatment modalities. Most importantly, we teach healthy coping mechanisms to reduce the urge to use in a high-stress situation. Serenity Light Recovery cares about making a difference in our clients’ lives. Our motto is; “I am not what I have done, I am what I have overcome. Give yourself another chance. It’s up to you to change.”

We are an adult co-ed substance abuse treatment center.
