Healing isn’t always comfortable. But it is always courageous.
Showing up in therapy when you're exhausted…
Saying, “I don’t know how to talk about this”…
Crying, pausing, telling the truth for the first time…

✨ That’s not weakness. That’s a strength.

This Pride Month, let’s remember:
🌿 You don’t have to be “put together” to be worthy of support.
🌈 Vulnerability is resistance in a world that taught us to shrink.
💚 Healing is brave, no matter what it looks like.

💬 How are you honoring your healing today?

Pleasure is sacred. Rest is revolutionary.

Too often, q***r and trans folks are expected to fight, to educate, to perform pride, even when we’re tired.

Today’s reminder:
🌿 You don’t have to earn your rest
🌈 You’re allowed to enjoy your body, your breath, your joy, without shame
💫 Pleasure is healing. Rest is resistance.

Give yourself permission to:
✅ Take a nap
✅ Say no
✅ Wear what feels good
✅ Enjoy something sensual, soft, and slow
✅ Laugh. Dance. Unplug. Breathe.

You don’t have to prove anything. Just being here, alive and healing, is enough.

⚠️ Storm season can bring more than just wind and rain; it can stir up real fear, anxiety, and nervous system overwhelm.

If you’re feeling on edge today in Houston, you’re not being dramatic. You’re being human.

Here are a few storm season coping tools to help you stay grounded:

🌧️ Create a “storm comfort kit.”
Include snacks, flashlights, chargers, a weighted blanket, calming scents, and grounding objects

📻 Limit doom-scrolling
Check weather updates from official sources, then take intentional screen breaks

🌬️ Practice calming breathwork
Try 4-7-8 breathing or box breathing to regulate your nervous system

📦 Label the fear
Say it out loud: “This is storm anxiety. I’ve felt this before. I know how to care for myself.”

📱 Reach out
Text a friend. Send a funny meme. Remind your nervous system you’re connected

✨ Remember: You’ve survived every storm so far. Your body may be on alert, but you have tools, and you don’t have to navigate it alone.

Q***r folks deserve healing.
But we also deserve pleasure.
And too often, we’re only offered one or the other.

As a s*x coach, I hold space for LGBTQIA+ clients to:
💫 Reclaim their bodies from shame
💫 Explore desire without judgment
💫 Navigate gender, s*xuality, and intimacy with compassion
💫 Heal from purity culture, trauma, and identity-based harm
💫 Build relationships that reflect their truth, not tradition

✨ S*x coaching is not about fixing you, it's about freeing you.
Your q***rness is not a barrier to pleasure. It’s a doorway.

Whether you’re reconnecting with desire, exploring identity, or longing to feel safe in your skin, this space is for you.

💌 Ready to begin? I offer free consultations to see if we’re a good fit.

Pride Month isn’t just for the LGBTQIA+ community; it’s also a call to action for allies.

✨ Being an ally isn’t about being perfect.

It’s about being present, being teachable, and standing up even when it’s uncomfortable.

Here’s how you can show up in ways that matter:

🧠 1. Educate yourself.

Learn about q***r and trans history, language, and struggles without asking LGBTQIA+ people to be your educators.

🗣️ 2. Speak up.

Challenge homophobic, transphobic, and anti-LGBTQ+ language—especially in “safe” spaces like family, work, and friend groups.

💸 3. Support q***r creators, therapists, and businesses.

Re-share, donate, shop from, and uplift LGBTQIA+ voices, not just in June, but all year.

🏳️‍⚧️ 4. Center intersectionality.

Being an ally means considering how race, disability, gender, and class impact LGBTQIA+ experiences.

💚 5. Listen more than you talk.

Allyship is built on humility, repair, and consistent, quiet action—not just rainbows and hashtags.

🌈 Pride is more than a celebration; it’s a movement.

Let’s make sure we’re moving in the right direction, together.

🌈 Visibility matters, but it can also be exhausting.

For LGBTQIA+ folks, being seen is often celebrated, especially during Pride.
But let’s be real:
🔁 Being “out” can be political
💬 Sharing your story can be emotionally taxing
🎭 Feeling like you have to represent your entire identity… is a heavy load

You don’t owe anyone your story.
You don’t have to be visibly q***r to be valid.
You are still part of the movement, even if all you do today is rest.

🛑 This Pride, let’s honor rest as resistance.
Let’s reclaim softness as strength.
Let’s remind ourselves that visibility is a choice, not a requirement.

🌈 Pride Month is here, but not everyone feels like celebrating.

For many LGBTQIA+ folks, this season brings up:
🔹 Grief for the version of yourself you had to hide
🔹 Loneliness in unsupportive families or communities
🔹 Anger at ongoing legislation, discrimination, or violence
🔹 Exhaustion from constant visibility and education

It’s okay if you’re not feeling colorful or loud right now.
You don’t have to “perform” pride to be valid.
Your quiet healing, soft joy, and even your struggle, all of it belongs.

✨ Pride is protest.
✨ Pride is permission.
✨ Pride is personal.

Take up space in the way you need to today.

Not all therapists are affirming, and for LGBTQIA+ folks, that can mean the difference between feeling seen and feeling harmed.

This Pride Month, let’s talk about how to find a therapist who gets it.

🛠️ Tips to find a q***r-affirming therapist:

🌈 Search directories with filters for LGBTQIA+ care

TherapyDen.com

InclusiveTherapists.com

PsychologyToday.com (use filters like LGBTQ+ affirming)

KAPprofessionals.org

🗣️ Check their language
Look for bios that mention q***r affirming, LGBTQIA+ competent, trans-inclusive, or anti-oppressive practice.

🔍 Ask direct questions during consults

What experience do you have working with LGBTQIA+ clients?

How do you handle intersecting identities (race, gender, relationship style)?

What does being "affirming" mean in your work?

✨ Trust your gut
If something feels off, you can leave. Affirming care means you feel safe, respected, and celebrated, not just tolerated.

💚 Everyone deserves a space where they can heal without educating their provider.
