Our Story

Rosewood cares. Since 1927, our family’s mission is to serve your family with humility and love in your most difficult hour. Why and how does this matter? Allow us to explain.

Charles and Octavia Fields, the founders of Rosewood Memorial Park all those years ago, might not recognize the changed world of today. One thing they would recognize is the timeless service, quality, and attention to detail that they instilled in their son, Jack, Sr., who took over in the mid-20th century. He, in turn, instilled those values in his son Jess, Sr, who today runs Rosewood’s four funeral homes and two cemeteries.

Most funeral homes and cemeteries are owned by big corporations whose leadership is far removed from the families they serve. Rosewood’s CEO, Jess Fields, Sr., is a constant presence at services, helping families and holding doors open himself.

Folks pine for businesses to provide that level of service, once commonplace but now hard to find. At Rosewood, we never changed or allowed greed to obscure our primary mission of serving families in need.
