Laying on the desk is a sign of…
a child who may have poor postural strength. Kids who tend to have weak core muscles may also have trouble holding up their torso for tasks that usually come naturally to others.
If a child needs help developing postural strength, you may often find them doing the following:
😒Laying on their desk
😒Placing head on desk while writing notes on paper
😒Uncoordinated
😒Falls frequently or appears clumsy
😒Fidgets or struggles to attend
Children who need help improving their postural strength can do a number of activities that can support this area of learning.
