📣 Calling all Texas families and autism service providers! 📣

Your voice is urgently needed to improve autism services in our state! The TxABA Public Policy group is working hard to advocate for change. TOMORROW 5/14/202 HB 813 is going to the Texas House of Representatives and we need YOUR help to get it passed!

What's at stake?

Our current system allows justification for funders to:

🛑 Stop therapy after age 10

💰 Impose arbitrary dollar limits on the cost of services per year.

🚫 Deny medically necessary services in schools, day habilitation centers, group homes, day cares, or other community settings.

This means many Texans aren't getting the care they desperately need. We're fighting to ensure funders are held accountable and pay for all medically necessary autism services.

Here's how YOU can make a difference in 10-15 minutes:

🗣️ Submit your testimony for HB 813. Share your story and explain why it's crucial for our legislators to vote YES on HB 813. Your personal experiences have the power to change minds!

📢 Exciting News from Our Clear Lake Clinic! 📢
At Behavior TLC's Clear Lake location, we're dedicated to providing individualized, one-on-one therapy for individuals of all ages. Our specialized programs are designed to foster growth and development at every stage:

👶 Early Intervention (Ages 2-8): Focusing on building essential early learner skills, including communication, reducing problem behaviors, and enhancing social and play skills.
⏳ Current Wait Time: Approximately 3 months

☀️ Day Program (Ages 8+): Offering tailored interventions to improve communication, daily living, social, and vocational skills, customized to each individual's needs.
⏳ Current Wait Time: Approximately 3 months

🤝 Connections: Supporting individuals transitioning into school with group instruction opportunities. Please note: Enrollment in our Early Intervention or Day Program is required before transitioning to Connections.
