🎉 Big news from the Fluoride Action Network!
Since January 1, 2026, 8 more communities have ended water fluoridation — and the number starting it? Zero.
From small villages in Vermont to Birmingham, AL's Central Alabama Water system (serving 770,000 people), communities across the country are making this change. Since the November 2024 lawsuit ruling alone, 89 communities nationwide have ended fluoridation.
This is the result of years of advocacy by dedicated coalitions, researchers, and local leaders. Thank you to everyone who made this possible — FAN, Moms vs. Fluoridation, Safe Water advocates coast to coast, and so many others.
The tide has turned. đź’§

Breathing and sleep play a larger role in oral health than many realize. Disrupted breathing patterns can affect airway function, jaw development, and overall wellness, often showing up through dental and facial changes.
Biological dentistry looks beyond the surface to understand how sleep quality and breathing impact the entire body.
The IABDM just published a position paper on root canal treatment. It's thorough, referenced, and raises serious questions every patient deserves to know about. 🧵 https://zurl.co/Igg1F

🦷 NEW: IABDM Releases Comprehensive Root Canal Position Paper
The International Academy of Biological Dentistry and Medicine (IABDM) has published a major position paper on root canal treatment — and what it reveals may surprise you.
Key findings:
🔬 Complete sterilization of a root-canaled tooth is not currently achievable. Research shows up to 50% of canal walls may go untreated during the procedure.
⚠️ Root canal bacteria have been found in heart attack clots, with studies linking endodontic infections to cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and other systemic conditions.
🧪 Many materials commonly used in root canals — including gutta percha additives, sealers, and formaldehyde-based cements — carry documented toxicity and leaching concerns.
đź“‹ The paper also provides biological dentists with practical protocols for extraction and site management when root canal treatment has failed.
Written by Dr. Dianna Cortese DDS, Dr. Dawn Ewing PhD, and Dr. Michael Margolis DDS PhD, this is one of the most thorough reviews of root canal biology available to patients and clinicians.
Removing mercury fillings requires more than a standard dental approach. Biological dentistry follows strict safety protocols to help minimize exposure, protect patients and staff, and support the body throughout the process.
Safe mercury filling removal is guided by a commitment to biocompatibility, precision, and whole-body health at IABDM.
Healing doesn’t always have to rely on synthetic materials. In biological dentistry, Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) uses a patient’s own blood to support natural tissue repair, reduce inflammation, and promote more efficient recovery after procedures. At IABDM, approaches like PRF reflect a commitment to working with the body, not against it.
Are You OSHA Compliant?”
Quick question:
Do you practice Safe Mercury Amalgam Removal
Is your office fully aligned with Occupational Safety and Health Administration standards for mercury exposure- OSHA 1910?
If you’re not 100% sure…
that’s your answer.
Fines can reach $16,0500 per day, per violation—but more importantly, the risk to your team and patients is real.
The PROTECT Protocol helps you bridge the gap between intention and compliance.
