This client came to me after receiving scar camouflage elsewhere that unfortunately left her with a darker, mismatched result following her breast augmentation surgery. Instead of improving the appearance of her scars, the pigment choice made them more noticeable.

I recently completed a medical tattooing procedure for a client who had significant hyperpigmentation along her lipo scars, as well as long-standing hyperpigmented areas on her buttocks caused by an old chemical burn. These were areas she had lived with for years—areas she believed would never change.

This client came in feeling very self-conscious about severe stretch marks on her knees that had been there for years. After a detailed consultation and custom pigment blending to match her natural skin tone, we performed paramedical tattooing designed to soften the contrast and help the stretch marks blend seamlessly into the surrounding skin.

I recently completed a corrective scar camouflage on this client and wanted to share her results. She originally sought treatment elsewhere, but the artist used a pigment that was significantly darker than her natural skin tone and reassured her it would “fade into the correct color.” Unfortunately, that’s not how scar camouflage works.

After six months with no improvement, she reached out to me. Through two corrective sessions, I was able to significantly improve the appearance of the previous work. While I’m grateful I could help her, this situation is a reminder of how important it is to choose a trained, knowledgeable practitioner—these are permanent procedures, and they should be done correctly from the start.

This client originally came in seeking medical tattooing to camouflage her breast augmentation scars. After a detailed assessment, we determined that the texture of the scar was the primary concern—not the color. With just one session of plasma scar reduction, the tissue softened, flattened, and showed significant improvement. The photos to the right show her results at only 6 weeks post-treatment.

Plasma scar reduction is incredibly effective for breaking down thick, unwanted scar tissue, and it often improves overall skin tone by resurfacing the area and reducing hyperpigmentation and redness. In this case, medical tattooing wasn’t needed—and she was thrilled with her results.
