Graduated from the Temple School of Podiatric Medicine in 1992.

He completed a foot and ankle surgical residency at West Jersey Health System in Camden, New Jersey, graduating in 1994. Dr. Rivera entered into a reconstructive foot and ankle surgical and sports medicine fellowship under the guidance of the renowned Dr. Lowell Scott Weil. Dr. Rivera graduated from his fellowship in 1995. Dr. Rivera is Board Certified by The American Board of Podiatric Surgery. H

e is a member of The American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons as well as the Texas Podiatric Medical Association and American Podiatric Medical Association. Dr. Rivera is certified in lower extremity peripheral nerve surgery by renowned surgeon Lee Dellon, MD. He is a member of The American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons as well as the Texas Podiatric Medical Association and American Podiatric Medical Association
