You are power. You are softness. You are the reason whole worlds keep standing.
Today, I honor you — the unseen, the unbreakable, the ones who love past their own exhaustion.
You deserve flowers, rest, and recognition every single day, not just today.

🎆 Every Fourth of July, I think about courage.Not just the courage of the founders who signed their names to a declaration that could have gotten them hanged. But the quiet courage of everyday Americans who've kept the flame of liberty burning bright through dark times.The courage of immigrants who left everything behind for a chance at something better. The courage of soldiers who've defended our freedoms on foreign soil. The courage of teachers, nurses, firefighters, and volunteers who strengthen our communities every single day.The courage of neighbors who disagree politically but still help each other when storms hit. The courage of people who vote, who speak up, who show up – even when it's hard.Today, as we celebrate with family and friends, I'm reminded that being American isn't about where you were born or how long your family has been here. It's about believing in the promise that we can always do better, be better, and build something worthy of the sacrifices made for us.The Fourth of July isn't just our birthday – it's our reminder that freedom isn't free, democracy isn't automatic, and the American dream is something we create together, one act of courage at a time.Grateful to be part of this beautiful, messy, hopeful experiment we call America. 🇺🇸

I used to get so hurt by people. I would expect them to do something, and when they didn't do what I thought they should do, I felt let down and frustrated. I got to the point that I was angry almost every day because of peoples actions or lack thereof.

But God began showing me that my expectation was in the wrong place. Rather than looking to people, I needed to look to Him. He is my source, my strength, and my expectation. When we understand that and put our expectation in God rather than people, then we can actually enjoy people more.

We won't put as much pressure on them and there will be more freedom in our relationships. No one else is responsible for your joy. As long as you are putting that expectation on them, you are going to be unhappy, and the relationship is going to be strained. Only God can give you true peace, joy and contentment.

Today we honor the brave souls who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation. Memorial Day is more than a long weekend—it's a solemn day of remembrance for those who gave everything so we might live in freedom.

Behind every flag-draped coffin was a person with dreams, hopes, and loved ones waiting for their return. They were sons and daughters, mothers and fathers, friends and neighbors who answered the call to serve something greater than themselves.

From Normandy to Afghanistan, brave Americans have laid down their lives to protect the ideals we hold dear. Today, we remember not just their sacrifice, but the families who continue to carry their memory forward.

As we gather this Memorial Day, let us take a moment of silence to honor those who cannot be with us. Let us live our lives in a way that honors their memory—with gratitude, purpose, and commitment to the values they died defending.

They are not forgotten. They will never be forgotten.

Today, as we observe the National Day of Prayer, I'm reminded of how prayer has served as a foundation for our nation since its beginning. In these moments of reflection, we lift up our beloved country in prayer, asking for wisdom and guidance for our nation's path forward.

We pray for President Trump and all our leaders, that they may be granted discernment and courage to make decisions that strengthen our republic. We pray for our state officials, that they may serve with integrity and vision for the common good.

We lift up our communities—our neighborhoods, workplaces, and gathering places—that they may be havens of respect and understanding. And we hold our families close in prayer, asking for protection, provision, and the bonds of love to grow ever stronger.

Prayer connects us across our differences, reminding us that regardless of our various faiths and backgrounds, we share common hopes for our families, communities, and country. It offers a moment to pause in our busy lives and reflect on what truly matters.
