How do I inhale and exhale properly?
The majority of adults have bad breathing habits for a number of reasons. They may have developed them in childhood for several reasons, or today’s stresses can lead to poor breathing. AND poor habits can lead to all sorts of health and wellness issues which at first would not seem obvious.






So it is really important to breathe correctly and break the bad habits. Several techniques may have to be corrected - especially mouth breathing and using the diaphragm correctly and fully. There is also benefit to be gained by slowing your breathing down to about 6 breaths a minute when you feel stressed, and to actually extend your ability to hold your breath after an exhale to about a minute. Emphasizing exhale helps too. All of these really help in maintaining a more healthy lifestyle and alleviating symptoms from poor breathing such as snoring/apnea, asthma attacks and of course stress relief.
