➡️Potassium is best acquired from food sources, but most people do not get enough

➡️Going from fast food, to never working out, to now eating regularly, nutrient dense foods, and walking 3-4 miles/day

❤️Her ability to go up a flight of stairs and not be winded speaks volumes to her improved cardiovascular health❤️❤️❤️

🌟What did we do?

🩷a hair tissue mineral analysis to see what SPECIFIC needs her body had
🩷created a sustainable plan for nutrition that decreased inflammation (she has less joint pain now as a result)

🌟Insulin resistance increases with aging, unless we do something about it🌟

➡️Here are 4 simple habits to help

🌸Get enough fiber (yes even fiber rich carbs)
🌸Fight for good sleep (post-menopausal women are even more sensitive to this)
🌸Prioritize movement after meals (small movement does help)
🌸Balance minerals like Calcium and Magnesium (magnesium is involved in decreasing insulin resistance while excessive Calcium can increase it - always make sure you’re absorbing the Calcium you’re taking in)

➡️You could have the best workout routine, the cleanest nutrition, but until you focus on sources of stress in your life, you are putting you future health at risk

➡️🌟Stress is not just work stress. Stress comes from our habits, lifestyle choices, and emotions.

🌸Avoid an intake of inflammatory foods and eat more anti-inflammatory foods
🌸Eat to balance blood sugar
🌸Address nutrient deficiencies (especially minerals like magnesium and potassium - this is something I check on my client’s Hair tissue mineral analysis)
🌸Spend more time outside - nature is healing
🌸Prioritize sleep
🌸Take time to disconnect
🌸Move daily

Growing up we always took part in the Wilchester neighborhood parade - this is my sister Melissa and me after one of them ❤️🎀

We would decorate my dad’s truck with streamers, flags, and play John Phillips Sousa 🇺🇸

However you enjoy the holiday, I hope it finds you enjoying the countless blessings that we enjoy, that we sometimes let weigh us down:

💙the freedom to choose how to move our body
❤️the freedom to choose what we say and think
