Today NHCAC begins highlighting our 2021 Fifteen Faces of Fortitude!! Let's meet these amazing ladies!

Dr. Anjanette Wyatt-Johnson is the President and CEO of Clinical Care Pharmacy in Houston Texas. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and Doctor of Pharmacy Degrees from Texas Southern University College of Pharmacy. She also earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Texas at Austin.

Dr. Wyatt-Johnson is a Director of the Delta Research and Educational Foundation. She currently also serves as the Vice President of the American Pharmacists Association Foundation Board.

Dr Wyatt-Johnson has shared with us, “In my work as a clinical pharmacist, I have been instrumental in providing access to the COVID-19 Vaccine for minority and underserved communities. I recently developed the Minority Outreach Vaccination Effort (MOVE) program to offer COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics at minority owned pharmacies in underserved communities of color. After experiencing a near death battle with COVID-19, I realized that many people were losing their lives as a result of not having access to crucial medications, especially in the African American Community with health disparities. I am a patient advocate for those affected by COVID-19 and provide support for families with loved ones who are gravely ill. I am dedicated to increasing vaccine confidence and reaching Herd Immunity in America.”

The Ladies of North Harris County Alumnae thanks you for your passion and dedication to serve! You exemplify “Fortitude”!

Thank you to the Houston Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority,
Incorporated for highlighting the work Sorors are doing in the community for COVID-19 !

In celebration of “Sisterhood” and Women’s History Month, Houston Alumnae Chapter presents “Hey Sister” a term of endearment reflecting our love, support, and commitment to sisterhood. During the month of March, we are highlighting Sorors who go above and beyond to serve in areas related to the global pandemic.

The 3 Deltateers! We know, we made that up but that is the best way to describe Soror Peggy Engram, Soror Anjanette Wyatt, and Soror Marva LeBeau. These women are instrumental in working directly with community groups and driving information pertaining to COVID-19 vaccines and any other resources. They are well known in the community through their volunteerism and professional work. They have reached out to Sorors, community members, and elected officials to distribute resources to those in need, focusing on communities that have been affected the most by the pandemic. Today, we present our violets to Soror Peggy Engram, Soror Anjanette Wyatt, and Soror Marva LeBeau. Thank you for being one for all and all for one!
