Dissolving isn’t always easy, but sometimes it’s the best first step ✅

This was done in stages: two rounds of dissolving, and then the lips were refilled in a way that actually fit her.

Starting fresh gave us the chance to do what was right for her lips, not just add more filler on top of something that didn’t suit her.

The anti-filler propaganda is everywhere these days.

If I didn't know any better l'd believe it too.

Having been injecting for almost a decade, l've seen countless bad outcomes, but blaming "filler" is a polarizing take, and honestly, an oversimplified one.

Filler problems start at the proximal end of the syringe.

Potential use of filler should always begin with a highly detailed medical and treatment history. Period. This is non-negotiable.

A highly comprehensive facial assessment should follow - a facial assessment that includes every area of the face, not just the one being injected.

In depth anatomical knowledge should be a prerequisite.

The anti-filler narrative is tired, and it creates unnecessary fear around a tool that, when used correctly, can be incredibly powerful and natural-looking.

If you are a patient who is considering filler but scared of what you're seeing online, what matters most is why, how, and by WHOM it is being used.

No tear trough filler 🚫 Instead we restored her mid face (cheeks), which helped support her under eye area, making her look less tired 😴 .

She already had beautiful lips, so we just added a touch of hydration for smoothing with subtle volume 🪄

Ever wonder why Dysport uses more “units” than Botox? 🤔

They’re both neuromodulators, but their units aren’t 1:1

Dysport usually needs 3 units to = 1 unit of Botox 💉

That’s why the unit count looks higher. It doesn’t mean you’re getting more product or are being over treated

❌ Pet peeve of mine

Marketing tactic: Advertising Dysport at “$3 per unit”
Reality ✅ It takes 3x the unit to match Botox

TO BE CLEAR…… units between brands are not interchangeable, but on average.

👉🏼 Don’t let the numbers fool you. Ask about total dosing, not just price per unit

Some people respond better to one over the other. It really just comes down to what works best for YOU 🫶🏼

What I love about her result

We maintained some natural creasing of her lower lid... when this is completely eradicated in someone who has it naturally, it can make the smile look fake or forced

I also love that we can see the slimming of her face while animated as opposed to the traditional stationary shot we see for most masseter botox before and afters
