With birth work, we focus on life- babies 1st breath- the loud cry; but with all things “life”, death is inevitable. From the second we’re born, we are also dying. My brother would always say, “we are born dying”, and as morbid as that may sound, it is profoundly true.
Celebrate death as much as you celebrate life! Why? Because it’s the full spectrum- the circle of life.
But the in-between should be full of robust love, uncertainties, challenges, lessons learned, and the passing down of legacy. Legacy is generational wealth of how you’ve portrayed your role during this human existence and what traits and attributes you leave behind and entrust to your offspring and loved ones.
In this lifetime, my brother Kalum Johnson .tenacity, vastly enjoyed his life. His legacy has influenced and inspired so many beyond his family. He may not have 32 more summers left, but he definitely gave us 50 years of an exuberant life!
