CIS was proud to be a part of the Jim Spruiell Memorial Swings For Scholarships through the Imaging Center of Columbus sponsoring a hole.

Friends and colleagues of James L. “Jim” Spruiell, chief flight nurse for North Mississippi Medical Center, established a scholarship in his memory shortly after his untimely death. Jim, 61, of Sulligent, Ala., was one of three people who died Nov. 19, 2017, in a medical helicopter crash in rural Arkansas. The helicopter, which was operated by Pafford EMS and Air Methods, was en route from Pine Bluff, Ark., to DeWitt, Ark., when the crash occurred.

The Jim Spruiell Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to individuals who are pursuing a career in emergency medicine. Recipients can include those pursuing a career as a trauma surgeon, emergency medicine physician, registered nurse, paramedic or emergency medical technician (EMT). Recipients can be high school seniors preparing to enter college or individuals currently in the workforce about to embark on a second career.
Jim worked diligently to make sure his children had the opportunity to attend college.

The Jim Spruiell Memorial Scholarship is founded in memory of his impressive work ethic and passion to help others, whether in the field or in the classroom.

This Veteran's Day, let's pause to honor the brave men and women who have served our country. To all of the veterans here at Capitol Imaging Services, I want to extend my sincere gratitude. Your service, sacrifice, and commitment to protecting the freedoms we enjoy is deeply appreciated.

We are proud to have Veterans as part of the CIS family, and we recognize the strength and leadership you bring to the workplace each day. Your willingness to put others above yourselves has served our nation well and now serves our patients well.

CIS Participates in U of H PES Golf Tournament

On Monday, October 7th, CIS proudly attended and sponsored a promotional table at the University of Houston PES Golf Tournament. The event was a wonderful opportunity to connect with many members of the community—including past and future patients—and to engage with students interested in applying for our internship program.

Representing CIS at the promo table were Nicole LeNorman, Kayla Hebert, and Morgan Mims, who enjoyed sharing information about our services and career opportunities.

In addition to our table presence, CIS was also represented on the course by a team consisting of Ben Casmer, Jeff Fields, Aaron Matlack, and Greg Pyron.

The tournament was a great success, offering valuable networking, community engagement, and a fun day supporting the PES program and its students. CIS was honored to take part and looks forward to participating again in future events
