Margaret started working in our Clear Lake office 30 (yes 30) years ago. After opening our Friendswood office in 2007, she transitioned to working in that location and is still going strong today! Her caring and warm demeanor, along with her outstanding work ethic quickly made her one of our most valued team members and her impeccable professionalism and compassion has made her a fan favorite with our patients.

Margaret, thank you for your loyalty and dedication to the practice and our patients for all of these years! We feel truly blessed to have you and look forward to many more years to come! 🩷

Optos Ultra-widefield Image of the Month, January/February 2025

A 37-year-old male previously diagnosed with type 1 diabetes consulted for further ophthamological treatment and reported poorly controlled A1C and primary hypothyroidism. Optos UWF color RGB and UWF FA imaging supported the diagnosis of proliferative diabetic retinopathy in both eyes. Imaging revealed microaneurysms, dot-blot hemorrhages, cotton wool spots, hard exudates, venous abnormalities/venous beading, capillary occlusions and leakage, retinal ischemia and retinal neovascularization—findings consistent with proliferative diabetic retinopathy. We are proud to announce that Dr. Grant Hopping has joined Eye Center of Texas. Dr. Hopping earned his Doctor of Medicine degree at McGovern Medical School at UT Health in Houston. He completed his Residency at the prestigious New York Eye & Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai in New York City then went on to serve as supervising attending physician at Elmhurst Hospital in Queens. He has completed extensive research in neuro-ophthalmic pathology, corneal and anterior segment disease and refractive surgery techniques. We are so pleased that he has joined this wonderful group of surgeons and feel more than confident referring our treasured patients to him. Patients we have shared with him have not only had excellent surgical outcomes but are highly complimentary of his attentive and personal care. Congratulations Eye Center of Texas on this outstanding addition to your team!! 😊
