Along my journey everyone wants to know, “Christin, what have you done? What’s your secret?” I hate to tell you, it’s not one thing. The body is a complex organism, the mind is multi-dimensional, and the soul is all-encompassing.
If I had to point to the biggest catalyst for change it would have to be: Overcoming my addictive behaviors on the day to day. In 2014 I turned my life upside down to purge toxic relationships. This allowed me to start the journey. I stopped smoking September 2018, I haven’t had a drink since February 2020, and started changing my relationship with food then. After 7 surgeries in my life and living with chronic pain, I no longer take prescription pain medication. Everyday I am careful where and with whom I spend my energy, and I try to balance work and restore.
Addiction creates mind/body/soul imbalance, and this leads to a lifestyle that fosters ailments and disease. Addiction comes in many forms. Some are obvious and some not the usual, therefore, sneakier than you think. Some are:
Alcohol addiction
Drug addiction (recreational, illegal, & pharmaceutical)
Work addiction.
S*x addiction
Food addiction
Exercise addiction
Approval/People Pleasing addiction
Shopping addiction
Digital addiction
Gambling addiction
Radical self-inquiry. Doing the work. Constantly doing the work. Relentlessly seeking the knowledge. Forever hungry for the evolution that leads to freedom. Breaking chains and blockages. Knowing you have suffered enough. These drivers make it possible with support and the Grace of God.
Transformation IS NOT ABOUT weight loss.
It’s about stoking the inner fire and living again.
