My Turning Point…And The Energy Drains I Didn’t See Coming

It wasn’t the workouts.
It wasn’t the long workdays.

It was the little things I was silently tolerating that were leaving me totally drained by the end of the day.

Things like:

✅ Constant multitasking (thinking I was being productive—but really just scattered)

✅ Skipping meals (because I was “too busy” and then eating a horse later!)

✅ The voice in my head that said I wasn’t doing enough (ugh, that one’s sneaky)

✅ Trying to stay connected to everyone—even when it didn’t feel good

✅ Staring at screens late into the night and wondering why I couldn’t sleep 😴

✅ Saying yes when I really meant no (my worst drainer!)

Once I started spotting these energy drains, everything changed.

I didn’t fix them all at once—but awareness was my turning point.

💕You don’t have to do more—you just have to stop giving energy to what drains you.

🥊Which one of these drains are you ready to knock out? Comment below—I’d love to know.

It’s not always what you’re doing — sometimes it’s what you’re tolerating that’s draining you.

✅ Constant Multitasking – Shift to single-tasking whenever possible.
✅ Skipping Meals – Avoid blood sugar crashes by fueling consistently.
✅ Negative Self-Talk – Catch those inner thoughts draining your mental energy.
✅ Toxic Connections – Nurture relationships that uplift you and limit negative interactions.
✅ Screen Detox – Power down screens 30–60 minutes before bed to protect your sleep.
✅ Overcommitting – Practice saying no to things that deplete you.

✨ Awareness is the first step to taking your power back.

My tips for creating a bedtime routine that actually relaxes you…

Bedtime is my favorite part of the day!! 🛌 🌿

I learned that a simple evening routine can do more than just signal it’s time for sleep—it can calm your mind, ease stress, and prepare your body for the deep, restful sleep you’ve been craving.

Here are a few small shifts I made that made a big difference to my sleep:

☕ Herbal tea or warm lemon water
📖 A good book (no screens)
💆‍♀️ Light stretching or deep breathing
🕯️ Dim the lights….sends a signal to the body that “it’s time to rest” signal

What’s one thing you do (or want to try) to relax before bed? Share in the comments…I’d love to hear!

For years, I thought poor sleep was just part of being busy. But the truth is—how we end the day matters as much as how we start it.

Here are a few things that helped me finally start sleeping better:

💭 Quieting my mind before bed
🛌 Creating a simple nighttime routine
🥗 Choosing foods that actually support sleep
💪 Gentle stretching to help my body unwind

Better sleep changes everything—more energy, clearer focus, less stress.

💬 What’s the ONE thing that keeps you up at night? (Work stress? Racing mind? Too much screen time?)

The Day I Realized Success Was Costing Me My Health

For years, I was doing it all—busy career, keeping the household running, squeezing in workouts, traveling… just staying crazy busy.

Most days started with early morning meetings. Grabbing food when I could. Before I knew it, the day was gone, and I was already mapping out tomorrow’s to-dos. If I was lucky, I’d fit in a workout somewhere.

Day in, day out… powering through. That’s what high performers do, right?

But one day, I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror, pale, drained, running on fumes and I thought… “Is this really the price I have to pay?”

The answer was NO.

I made changes…small ones…but they gave me my energy back. And I realized something no one ever tells you: success shouldn’t come at the cost of your health.

If you’re running on empty right now, I get it. You don’t have to choose between thriving in your career and feeling good in your body. You can have both.

3 Reasons You Feel Exhausted (Even When You Get Enough Sleep)

Ever wake up tired even after a full night’s rest? It’s frustrating—but it’s not just about sleep. Here’s what could be draining your energy:

1️⃣ The Energy Rollercoaster – Your body is constantly adjusting to stress, long hours, and endless to-do lists. Over time, this leaves you running on fumes, no matter how much rest you get.

2️⃣ Cortisol Overload – When stress hormones stay high, your body can’t fully recharge, digestion suffers, and even the best nutrition isn’t properly absorbed. Instead of fueling you, food becomes another source of imbalance.

3️⃣ Nutrient Gaps – If your body is missing key nutrients like magnesium, B vitamins, or iron, it can’t generate the energy you need—leaving you dragging through the day.

The good news? Small changes can make a huge difference. And because they’re small, they’re sustainable—so you’re not stuck in an all-or-nothing cycle.

Why I Left My Corporate Career to Support Women Like You

For over 25 years, I worked in a fast-paced corporate engineering career. I pushed through the long hours, the stress, and the constant demands—just like so many other women around me.

But I saw what was happening.

Brilliant, hardworking women were burning out. They were running on empty, exhausted but powering through—at the expense of their health.

I managed to stay fit, energized and healthy, even with the crazy schedule. Not because I had more willpower, but because I learned how to work with my body, not against it.

That’s why I left my career. Because I knew I could help. Because I hated seeing incredible women struggle when the answer wasn’t another diet, another gym membership, or another supplement.

If you’re feeling drained, stuck, or frustrated with your health—I understand. You’re not alone, and there’s a way to feel better again.

Does this resonate with you? Let me know in the comments!👇

Eating healthy feels impossible when you’re busy, right? 😩

Between work, family, and a never-ending to-do list, finding the time (and energy) to eat well can feel like another job.

But here’s the thing—you don’t need hours in the kitchen to fuel your body the right way.

I put together a Busy Woman’s Guide to Eating for Energy—a simple guide that will boost metabolism, balance hormones, and keep you full (without meal prepping all weekend).
