Love my so much, but one was notebaly absent from our dinner together last night. Her absence at this meeting is breaking my heart. Instead of being here, my and is laying in a hospital bed fighting for her life.

Her heart literally exploded from being filled with so much for so many, and I feel so lucky to have been loved so well by her. Hoping I have the chance this side of Heaven to tell her one more time how much she's meant to me and how all that she taught me has helped the lives of so many of my own over the years.

So grateful to be here at the 50th annual meeting of the Society for Pediatric Dermatology. It is hard to believe my first was in 2002 in Annapolis when I was welcomed into this community of , , who love each other and with so well. My heart is heavy as I am packing to leave for Seattle tomorrow. I am having a hard time believing that I am not going to see my and at the upcoming Society for Pediatric Dermatology 50th anniversary . It is all so surreal and difficult to accept and process.

It is just not going to be the same without him there, but it also reminds me how very short and precious our lives really are. It has made me re-evaluate if I am focusing on what really matters and reflect on if I am doing the most good with the time I have left.

You will be dearly missed, my friend- RIP- and I thank you for your and the incredible you leave behind. You may be gone but not forgotten.
