Operation Stacey Updates on My Ovarian Cancer fight. With a significant history of cancer in her family she had genetic testing and found to be a carrier of the BRCA1 gene.

After a friend encouraged Stacey to get a mammogram in December that came back with abnormal results she started a long road to finding that she is a mutant as she calls herself. She went on the proactive approach and had a prophylactic bilateral mastectomy. Then she was to have a prophylactic hysterectomy but that changed everything. Her biopsy results came back with cancer cells. Her road continues as she know has had a staging surgery to make sure that they have removed all cancer that can be seen and is starting 4 months of chemotherapy starting next week. It will be journey for her and Jeff to travel and she just needs all the love of family and friends and some support to get her to the end of this journey. Please help us help her and show your support by purchasing and wearing your shirt!

Hooked up and going strong. The IV Benadryl has has kicked in and I am looped. I am in what We girls call "The Beauty Shop where gossip and advice is free but chemo will cost ya." Hahah!

My cancer marker HAS DROPPED 20 PONTS even missing last week!! It may not be much to some... but to me this means that God heard my pleas for a glimmer of hope!!

I love you, that is all!

Words cannot Express how blessed we are! We have exceeded the goal by far!! It was suggested that I leave the account open in case it is needed and if people want to donate along the way. What are y'alls thoughts? Papa has provided every need and opened doors so fast they flung open. We leave this weekend for a stop in Abilene to see family and will be in Houston a week from today. I hope and pray they have something to help me. Thank you all for your love, prayers and support. I love you, that is all.

I am reopening the Operation Stacey Page for information. I will chronicle all things cancer related here. Please invite anyone as this is an public group.
Update: Approved for MD Anderson!!!! I have an appointment with MD Anderson on Sept 15th for Covid test and see Dr. Amir Jazaeri on Sept 17th. Not sure how long we are going to be down there.
The combo I am on right now is not working. My number rose 180 points 😔. My platelets are too low for chemo this week so Dr. Farzan will start me on Avastin next week. That is an ugly chemo!! But I will not give up hope and we still have options!!

No chemo this week. My numbers are too low. I love you that is all.

I wasn't able to have chemo this week since my numbers have gone below the okay point. I am sorry I didn't post last week, but we did find an iv cocktail of benadryl and steroids that allowed me to get through chemo without any issues. Thank you all for your continued love and support. I love you that is all.

No chemo this week. My labs are too low, especially the platelets at 62,000 and the ANC 800 and white blood cell down to 2000. Can't believe I have to take a break 2 weeks in. My nurse said this happens second time around but wasn't prepared for I to be this early, last time I was 1/2 through. I am on bubble time at the house. Just finished antibiotics today for an upper respiratory, not going to risk it. I love you, that is all.
