Happy Social Work Month to my fellow social workers 💜

I’m so proud to be a social worker. Our profession is grounded in compassion, advocacy, social justice, and the dignity and worth of every person, all in pursuit of meaningful change.

Every day, social workers show up to support, advocate for, and empower individuals and families through a variety of challenges. I’m honored to do this work and to walk alongside the incredible people I serve.

I also want to acknowledge the current climate and the challenges many social workers are facing right now. I see you, and the work you are doing matters.

✨ My inspiration for this book: my mama clients ✨

The ones who come into session worried after a meltdown and ask, “Do they still know I love them?”
The ones who replay a hard moment and wonder if they’ve somehow damaged the relationship because they didn’t handle it perfectly.

Those conversations, along with my own experience with my daughter, helped me write this book.
It’s for parents who want their kids to feel safe with big emotions and to know they are deeply loved, even during the toughest moments.

I’ve now seen them for weeks (meaning they keep showing up-win) and they report feeling comfortable and safe enough to talk about anything in our work together.
