🌟 July Program Spotlight: The Gratitude Committee 🌟

This month, we’re shining a light on our amazing Gratitude Committee! 💛

Our adult participants spent their summer giving back in a big way — volunteering with Brighter Bites, Friends of FBISD Shared Dreams and Lunches of Love to support families facing food insecurity. From packing produce and snacks to assembling lunch bags, their impact was powerful and heartfelt.

Not only did they give back to the community, but they also built real-world skills, teamwork, and confidence with every task. We are so proud of their hard work and thankful to our incredible community partners who help make these opportunities possible!

Omar joined us earlier this summer and will be with us through mid-August! He’s a Public Health student at the University of Houston with big dreams of becoming an orthopedic surgeon 🩺

Omar is passionate about inclusion and is gaining hands-on experience in a space that empowers individuals of all abilities. He believes programs like GiGi’s Playhouse are key to building confidence, promoting health, and fostering growth — and we couldn’t agree more! 💛

✨ Meet the Intern Monday: Dalia! ✨

Dalia joined us in June and has been such a wonderful addition to our team this summer! She is a senior at the University of Houston majoring in Health with minors in Biology and Medicine & Society, and is on the pre-dental track with dreams of becoming a dentist.

During her time at GiGi’s Playhouse Sugar Land, Dalia has jumped right in — bringing positivity, patience, and creativity to every program she helps lead. Whether she’s working with our youngest participants in LMNOP or supporting our adult programs, she’s made meaningful connections and left a lasting impact.

We’re so grateful to have her with us through August 8th! 💜
